Day 1

Every bachelor's group has a dream of going to goa and create the Dil Chahta Hai moment, well i am lucky that i have a group that has accomplished this feat for 2 times. The trip that i am writing about is the 2nd time we invaded goa and in our own style. So let's begin this ass kicking journey. The trip costed per person 15K in INR which included stay, food and all the sightseeing we did.I will share what you require to have a luxurious trip in goa under 15K

Day 1 - Enroute to Goa

We began our Journey at 1 am leaving from suburb's with our dhanno i.e. Maruti Wagon R to be precise Bhayander which falls in western region of mumbai. Our aim was to reach goa by 12 noon so that we can have the afternoon to rest and evening to visit some good lounges and cafe.

We reached the Pune expressway and while showing the toll a drunk cabbie smashed our car from behind and i should say this changed the trip course and made it epic.

We got our car repaired and by the time it was noon and the entire plan was screwed up. Still we wanted to create this trip an epic one. We started from Pune at 12 noon and drove non stop to Goa and reached by 7 PM and checked in De Baga deck Hotel Goa. We had booked the hotel and for accomodation for 3 person costed us Rs. 16,094/- for 3 nights coming to Rs. 5300 per person for 3 night. That was really a good deal that we cracked + we had breakfast included. Since we were extremely tired we ordered food from the hotel had some booze and slept to make this trip how had to be. Pasting the google timeline how did we drove.

Day 2

Day 2

We got up around 7 am and got ready had breakfast and decided to start with the first sightseeing. Since we had our own car we had the luxury to decide where to go and when to go. Our first sight seeing was to the Fort Tiracol Heritage Hotel. We started from our hotel at around 10 am and reached Fort around 12 pm. The place is a mixture of fort view + a hotel we were there around and were thirsty and hence decided to have some beers. Below is the pic of Bira we had.

From there we headed to Aguda fort and it took around 2 hours drive from there. We skipped lunch as we had heavy breakfast.

After spending some time at the fort we researched about an unexplored cafe in the interior's of Goa which is Jungle Cafe. Here you will have rooms which are built around lush green habitat and they have habitat of elephants and it's second name is Elephant Cafe. It was a good drive and i would recommend actually to spend one night at least to enjoy the atmosphere.

From there we headed back to hotel as it was evening 6 and decided to have some food and enjoy the nightlife of goa and hence we went to Habanero which is one of the best places to have food where you will experience live music. Mostly farangs are seen over here and if you are lucky you might also get sombrero hat to wear till you are in the hotel. You also got sheesha (Hukka) for Rs.500 for one pot one time.

Day 3

Day 3 - Chapora Fort - ST. Augustine Tower - Dona Paula Suicide Point - Indian Naval Aviation Museum - Mapusa Municipal Market

I should say day 3 was really all about invading goa. We headed to Chapora Fort to capture the DCH pose which is uploaded as a cover image. Chapora fort is a famous fort and portuguese used this fort to keep a check on naval activities.

Spot - 2 St. Augustine Tower

46m-high landmark is the only remaining tower of a church complex completed in 1602. It is very disheartening to see that such a monument is not been looked after and now only one half of the tower remains.

Spot 3 - Dona Paula Suicide Point

The point became famous when it was been introduced in Bollywood films. People come here to see the point, if you ask me is it worth i would say somewhat. Only problem is parking and narrow lanes and it is overcrowded most of the time.

After spending some time at the point we decided to visit the most famous Mapusa Municipal market to buy cashew nuts, Fish Pickle, and Booze. Well, i don't have an image of the market but i can surely upload the booze which we bought.

Indian Naval Aviation Museum

Military history museum founded in 1947 offering an outdoor aircraft park & a gallery with exhibits. It is a paradise for aviation lovers and also you get a feel of patriotism.

Mapusa Municipal market shopping

One of the famous market to shop in goa. It is cheap + you get best quality material over here. Ideal place to buy cashewnuts, Fish Pickle and Booze.

Day 4

Day 4 - Three Kings Chapel & Calangute Beach

Three Kings Chapel is known for being haunted and people have felt that someone has been walking or sitting beside them. It is believed that these are the spirits of 3 Kings. The story goes like this one of the Portuguese king called the other 2 Kings to settle the fight for a supper. He poisoned both of them and when the supporters of the 2 kings came to know they went furious and wanted to kill the portuguese king. In order to not to be killed the portuguese king killed himself and thus the chapel got its name of 3 King's

Day 5

Day 5 - Back to Mumbai

We checked in to Kyriad Hotel now known as citrus after checking out from Baga as we had 3 nights booking. The reason we extended the stay due to our accident that we met while going to Goa. People would tell that it was not required but ideally we wanted a peaceful day where we would just lay down in the hotel pool and glance over 4 days have a good night sleep so that we can drive non stop to goa. In citrus as well we had breakfast opted in. For 3 people, 1 night with breakfast it costed us 6K which was a fair deal as it was last minute booking. Also, make sure when you are coming back to mumbai do stop at Joshi wade wale for breakfast, they are famous for Vada Pav and tea.

Trip requirements

A self owned car which gives good mileage

Make sure you have hotels which provide buffet breakfast so that you can skip lunch and have local dinner

At least 3 people so that the cost is evenly distributed

Use settle up free app to manage expenses

Ideally the trip would have costed 2K less if the accident would not have happened. Nonetheless, it was one hell of a trip and the next goa trip is going to be a luxurious one where traveling would be through Flight from Mumbai - Goa, check-in at Deltin Royale with their all inclusive package for unlimited drinks, food and chips of 3K to gamble.

All this was possible because of our dhanno below is her pic.
