Goa With 3S - Sand Sea & Sun

After walk around fort we were really tiered and had more fresh fruit juices just to keep ourself hydrated. After Chapora we visited Vagator beach. Enjoyed the serenity. Less crowded beach with many rocks. Situated next to the north of Anjuna Beach, Vagator beach is one of the most pleasing and scenic beaches in Goa. Basically there are two beaches here: the Small and Big Vagator Beach. Vagator beach is a huge draw for party lovers from across the country. The beach serenity enhanced by The soft white sands, the black lava rocks, the coconut palms, the lush green landscape, nature playing its own music.

In fact, there are so many choices that it may be difficult to see them all in one visit if you don’t have a list to guide you. This is my fifth time visit to Goa. Each visits used to bring new experience and vibes to life!!!

Me & my friend Srinivas planned this trip from Hubli. To reach Panjim, We catch the normal KSRTC bus from Hubli bus stand. As it was the long weekend most of the buses are full with most of the youngsters. It took almost 5.30 hrs as roads were full of traffic.

It was 5.00 PM when we reached Panjim. We were super excited and took the scooter for rentals. The actual cost used to be 250/- INR. But as it was the long weekend, the bike rental prices were also hiked. We paid 500/- rs per day. We followed google map and headed towards our hotel fig fin beach resort. The hotel is very close to calangute beach. We were so happy and checked into room. As soon as we checked in, our plan was to explore the nightlife of Goa. As I mentioned, though I visited many he nearby times Goa before I never enjoyed night life!!

At 6 pm, we went near Baga- calangute beach, had a great evening walk all along the shore… with spectacular beauty  Baga in North Goa is one of Goa’s most popular beaches. The Baga River is in the north. Calangute beach, also popular, is in the south. The Baga-Calangute stretch is one of the longest sandy shores in Goa. You will find many beach shacks, pubs, restaurants, shops, nightclubs and water sports activities, including banana riding, speed boats, paddle boarding, paragliding, surf boarding, and more.

after the sun dawn, we had our dinner in the nearby hotel. We took our scooter and roamed all around Goa… Explored the night Life!!!! With booze, dance, cruise and many more…

Around 2 am we came back hotel and rested up to 10 am. After fresh up, our plan was to visit city heritage.

First we went Chapora fort. The Chapora Fort is often referred to as the “Dil Chahta Hai” fort, as this popular Hindi movie was filmed here. The Chapora Fort is in North Goa, 21.7 kilometers from Panaji and just 700 meters from the Vagator beach. It is located on a hill just above the Vagator beach, with the Chapora beach on the other side. The Chapora River meets the Arabian Sea here. The present Chapora fort was erected by Adil Shah of Bijapur on the site of an ancient fort, which existed even before the Portuguese came to Goa in 1510. The Portuguese rulers took over the Chapora fort in 1717, and made it a border outpost for controlling land, allowing easy sea passage, and to prevent enemy attacks.

OMG… we felt Goa is too HOT!! The day is so sunny and the Goa Beauty also at it’s high 

After Vagator, we had our quick lunch and visited Church Basilica of Bom Jesus – A UNESCO World Heritage site, this is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Goa. The red laterite stone building has very impressive Baroque and Jesuit architecture. It also houses unique Doric and Corinthian works. See its basalt pillars, black granite walls, and the tiled sloping roof. Don’t miss the small Portuguese and Latin inscriptions on the walls and pillars of the church.

One more attraction of this church is Tomb of St. Francis Xavier – The tomb is located inside the Basilica of Bom Jesus. While St. Francis Xavier, the revered evangelist stayed in Goa, he opened many churches and nursed the sick. He died in a small island in China, but his body was brought back to Goa. Giovanni Batista Foggini, the famous Italian sculptor carved his tomb. It is made of marble and jasper. His remains are displayed once in 10 years.

Then we visited Dona Paula beach and Mira mar beach - Dona Paula Bay is where two of Goa's famous rivers meet the Arabian sea. Named after Dona Paula de Menezes, it's also called the Lovers Paradise. On a small hillock over looking the beach is a statue of Donna Paula, a portuguese land lady who supposedly committed suicide here. A thrilling breeze blows over this place and the view is very scenic. Apart from enjoying the great view from atop the hillock, tourists can simply relax in benches enjoying the evening sea breeze and sunset.

After alll… with recalling our memories we were chatting over sea shore. Looking at people playing football volleyball cricket at beach. Fisherman wrapping the nets with collecting big fishes & small fishes were being gifts for birds.

This time Goa brings both city and night life experience with loads of FUN 
