The whole place has been restored from the old Chestnut house which was crumbling, with walls cracking and floorboards decaying. The one thing that stood proudly were the rustic fireplaces which were preserved during the restoration process to offer the guests an ideal place to have snacks, drink, chat or even snuggle.
The heart of the house is its dining room with a massive wooden table that can accommodate up to 12 people. The food served here is sourced from the local farmers ensuring quality. You’ll find two fireplaces here with board games stacked and waiting to be played. You can also request for a romantic candle light dinner in a peaceful corner of the room. They’ve also accommodated a modest library here that can be your safe haven if you’re a couple that loves to know about the world through words while enjoying the views of the mighty mountains.

Activities:
• They do offer packed picnic baskets when the weather is good to let you enjoy a cozy picnic on the grassy terrace under the walnut tree while looking at the clouds floating through the sky.
•If you’re the one with nature and want to go an extra step, they offer different treks around Kanarkha Trail, Panyali trail and Gaula River trail. You can experience this unbound wilderness in a day with these trails requiring 5-8 hours and ranging from Medium to Difficult based on the distance and inclination.
• They also curate intimate workshops which they refer to as 'Cloudshops' that offer you an opportunity to indulge into different activities like art and craft, yoga etc.

How to Reach
Address: Matial Village, Bhatelia-Dhanachuli-Bhimtal Road, South Gola Range, Nainital, Uttarakhand
Rail: Nearest railway station is Kathgodam and local taxis drive you to Matial Village which is an hour away from the station.
Air: Nearest airport is Pantnagar, two hours away from Matial Village.
Once you reach Matial Village, you can park your car there. A moderate 1 hour 30 minute trek through dense forests of large conifers, oaks, rhododendrons will finally lead you to your destination, Jilling Terraces. They provide guides to help you carry the luggage while you enjoy your experience through the wilderness.
