Started our TRIPPLIN from Delhi. We booked our bus and then went to Majnu Ka Tilla to get the bus for KASOL. It takes 13 hours to reach by bus from Delhi. Our bus was at 7.30 p.m. INDO CANADIAN provides the best quality of service.
Reached Kasol. DAY ONE of TRIPPLIN started. We had our breakfast at JIM MORRISON CAFE. Then we trekked to CHHALAL, where we stayed that night inside a Chinese Tent. They served amazing food. Cuisines like Israeli, Mexican, Latin, Indian and Chinese are available.
So fresh day, Day 2 in the valley. TRIPPLIN ready to explore the Valley. MALANA ON MIND, THE OLDEST DEMOCRACY IN THE WORLD, famous for being the descendants of ALEXANDER The Great and MALANA CREAM. We decided to Trek up Malana Village, for which we had to book a cab till Malana Gate, which costs around ₹800-₹1200 depending on your talking terms. We reached Malana Gate from where we started to Trek down first to Malana River and then cross the bridge and Trek Up those stiff Mountains. This trek is tiring and needs a lot of stamina, usually it takes 2 hours to Trek down and up. We on the other hand took 1 hour 20 minutes to do the same. Trust me it's worth the pain. It was a slow showering day, the trek became more difficult after the way became wet and slippery. But after 1.20 hours of Trek, we reached to the Top of the Mountain. The village Top of Malana. And it was worth it, we stayed at The KABILA TRIBES camps.
Next day we went to Tosh which is 42 kms. from Malana via Kasol!
Tosh was beautiful. It was an amazing experience. I loved Tosh but Malana the most. Again took a cab from Malana Gate to Tosh Gate. Tosh is a village in Parvati Valley, famous for Tosh Balls and amazing scenic beauty.
Tosh to Kalga. My favorite place to be in Himalayas is and always will be Kalgha. The Apple forest and Sunset Cafe and Homestay. The best duo I ever experienced. You can see Tosh from Kalga and even the Kheerganga Trek is from Kalga (the forest way).
Stayed here for one more day because it's my favorite place to be. Perfect Detoxification done. Got out rest. Ready and motivated for trek. And yes, ate a lot of fresh red apples.
So the day came! Kheerganga on mind! Motivated, Relaxed, Chilled and full on excited. As they say- "How's the Josh? High Sir"
Kheerganga is 12 kms from Kalga Village, the trek is challenging and people take around 5 hours to trek up to Kheerganga. We TRIPPLIN did it in 3 hours and 40 minutes. First 2 hours we trekked 8 kms but the last 4 kms patch was deadly and exhausting. It was slippery from Kalga. People can trek from Barshaini to Kheerganga via Nagthan Village, which will be 15kms of trek. I came back this way though!
Good Morning at Kheerganga with the most famous and sacred place over here the Holy 'Parvati Kund' or in other words Natural Hot Water Spring. Interesting fact about it is the Water is hot naturally but then some white sediments come out along with the water, which led to turn the place to be called as KHEER GANGA. After breakfast we trekked down and back to Kalga. But after a patch of 3 kms I went alone through the long way of Nagthan instead of going with my cousins. It was a long and tiring stretch but it was bliss and I got to know my limits and pushed myself hard to keep walking through those mountains for 15 kms under direct sunlight. It's all in your brain guys. Stay hydrated throughout the trek and always have GINGER LEMON HONEY TEA in the morning to give it a kickstart.
Left Kalga early, went back to Kasol. The TRIPPLIN is about to end. We were sad but who knows the future. We went back Kasol and then booked a Hotel finally to stay. All these days we were in tents or homestays so today was full, what we call in bengali 'LYADH' day! But Kasol showed us ourself! A nostalgic feel was there, along with sadness and so many memories. Pictures can't tell everything.
And the TRIPPLIN @ PARVATI VALLEY ends today. We woke up, roamed around, loved the last day and left for Delhi in the evening.
