Tsongmo Lake also known as Changu Lake is a high-altitude glacial lake in Sikkim, India.
Situated at 3753 m above sea level, this lake offers majestic views of the Himalayas in East Sikkim district.

The lake is surrounded by a sea of colourful prayer flags.
These flags have Buddhists mantra on them and serve the purpose of spreading prayers with the wind.
One of the many reasons why I love mountains is because they are full of mantra flags. Wherever I go, I'm welcomed by these colourful flags, flowing in the air.
Once the weather was cleared, we could see beautiful reflection of the mountains surrounding the lake.

Since the lake is surrounded by mountains the weather here is quite unpredictable. At one moment the lake was covered with clouds and in just 10 minutes everything disappeared.
