There is absolutely no point in visiting mountains where facilities are not yet fully developed. Only thoughtless morons can choose such a place far from the regular city life. Are you still confused? We will give you 10 compelling reasons as to why the mountains in India are overrated.
1. All the mountain peaks looks alike!
Do you really think, these peaks are identical? Oh well, may be the basic structure is triangular, but have a close look on them and you can differentiate.
2. Mountains do not possess any heritage value in India!
India has 7 natural heritage sites and 1 mixed heritage site in the list of World Heritage Sites. Among them, 4 are located in mountains i.e., Great Himalayan National Park Conservation Area of Himachal Pradesh, Western Ghats, Nanda Devi and Valley of Flowers National Parks of Uttarakhand and Kanchenjunga National Park of Sikkim. Also, mountain railways of India is enlisted as World Heritage Site.
3. They do not have any archaeological importance!
For example, Katarmal Sun Temple, Baijnath Temple and Jageswar Dham of Uttarakhand are among 'ASI Must See Sites'. Do you really think that ASI has selected these temples on mountains without thinking much?
4. You'd neither get a clear sunrise!
Do you need more clarity?
5. Nor a clear sunset!
But I think I will visit again and again to experience these sunsets!
6. There is no scope of adventure activity in mountains!
Or,
Looking for some adrenaline rush, are you?
7. You will not find any good restaurant/cafe in the mountains!
8. You can only get Maggi, Momo and Thukpa in mountains. Nothing else!

Do you really want to miss these views? Thank god, they are slow in speed.

It is true that mountains are not for everybody. But if you ever visited mountains in India, you must feel an urge to visit them again and again. Mountains are an emotion. There is something so invigorating, soul-awakening, renewing, restoring, refreshing, and healing about being in the mountains for us.
“When you stand at the bottom of the mountain and look up at the mountaintop, the path looks hard and stony, and the top is obscured by clouds. But when you reach the top and you look down, you realize that there are a thousand paths that could have brought you to that place.” – Roz Savage.
