Just Married and looking out for options to decide your honeymoon destination? Choosing your honeymoon destination can be a little tricky and confusing as you have plenty of options in and around India. We chose Bali over others because this island has everything to offer from a rich culture, adventure, nature, exclusivity and much more within budget.
While planning for your trip you could choose packages on Tripoto available from Antilog vacations or plan it all yourselves. We choose the second option. The most important hack to get a Bali trip on the budget is to get flights at low airfare, 2 ways of getting this right first one is to book flights as early as possible (AirAsia, scoot, Malaysian airlines, and jet airways have regular offers on this route. Subscribe to their mailing lists to be updated on offers) and second one is to keep your options open and look for nearby low-cost airports from where you could get reasonable airfares (You can do this using search engines like KAYAK). We chose to travel down to Chennai through train and board flight from there as the difference in return airfare was 12,000 when compared to Bangalore. The next task was to look out for accommodation in Bali, and believe me we had to get this right since Bali is known for its unique collection of romantic private pool villas and they are available for all types of budget. We opted to split our stay for 5 Nights at Eden Hotel Kuta and 2 Nights at Uppala villa & Spa Seminyak. Next, we planned our daily itinerary looking for the best experience that we would like to have in Bali (Take help of travel blogs and tourism sites to get to know what to expect for and how to plan for it). Not to forget, through one of our friend we hired a local cab for commuting in Bali. Finally, we packed our bags and were all set to start our exciting trip. Few must things to carry: Carry Cash in US dollars (preferably 100 dollar denominations) for a better exchange rate in Bali, Reef Safe and waterproof Sunscreen, comfortable cotton clothing, shades, Hat, universal mobile charger, light Footwear, and a good waterproof Camera. If you are a Vegetarian, we suggest to carry some quick food stuff for your lunch as finding Pure-Veg restaurants is little tough in Bali during sightseeing.
