Day 1

Monsoons are the best moment one can ever indulge into the lush evergreen jungles of Konkan that stretch upto Kerala. So it was morning 0300 Hours we started from Goregaon towards Lokmanya Tilak Terminus also called Kurla Terminus onboard the Mumbai to Goa Double Decker. We spend our day into the train. 1900 hours we touchdown at Madgaon Junction. The entire journey was mesmerizing covering the lush green jungles, the brownish grey lithosphere from which the rainwater keeps falling. We checked in into the Hotel Lotus and the manager was very helpful with all our check-in formalities.

Day 3

Early Morning was the same scheduled breakfast. We proceeded ahead towards the North Goa. I messed up with the Brakes and even I got to know that the Number Plate was missing and I had to carry the Fine challan like my one day Goa Pass.. LOL ! But it was funny on being pulled over every now and then for the same. I repaired the brakes too. So please make sure next time you rent a vehicle, you get a proper one. But again a windy day, boats all around the Panjim Harbour and just having a good time at the Miramar and Dona Paula side. It was beautiful, the clouds and every bit of it kept making it beautiful. We tried the fish dish too here which was extremely tasty with the local dip they serve their customers. We continued back to hotel.

Day 2

Today we had our plans to visit the temples of South Goa and we got our rented Honda Activas for Rs. 300 per person. Top of it, we topped up with fuel for Rs. 300 to Rs. 400 which we contributed again. Scooty expense incurred per person was around Rs. 150 a day. Fuel cost we shared per person was not more than Rs. 200. The manager of the Pai Restaurant provided us excellent Breakfast services that cost us again not more than Rs. 80 Per head with a tummy brim filling Breakfast with special South Indian coffee. We had a wonderful day covering all the temples and cruising across the South Goan smooth roads. Dinner was at the Pai Restaurant itself, again the per person cost did not exceed more than Rs. 90

Day 4

Today we didn't move around much. Our major time was just spent on resting and admiring the scenery that was beautifully developed by nature. We also packed up our bags as next day it was an early departure to Mumbai. The short trip was planned after my resignation and was a memorable time being at Goa. Just feeling fresh and fine.

Day 5

Today in the morning, we just took the sandwiches that one can avail at Madgaon station. Our hotel was barely 2 kms from the Madgaon station. Also I had purchased a bit goan jewelry for my mom and a few friends. Felt sad on leaving Goa. But I enjoyed a lot with a few friends being there. Our next plans shall soon be posted and updated once we are done with those trips.
