The Andaman Islands are an Indian archipelago in the Bay of Bengal. These roughly 300 islands are known for their palm-lined, white sand beaches, mangroves, and tropical rainforests. Coral reefs supporting marine life such as sharks and rays make for popular diving and snorkeling sites. Indigenous Andaman Islanders inhabit the more remote islands, many of which are off-limits to visitors.

Day 1

Bangalore to Port Blair

You can get direct flight from Bangalore to Port Blair (GoAir)

Day 2

Port Blair local sight seeing on rented Suzuki Access. There are three bike renter near Aberdeen market, one of them is Soro Tours and Travels who also has a website rentabikeandaman.com

You can rent a two wheeler for Rs. 400 per day.

The Cellular Jail, also known as Kālā Pānī, was a colonial prison in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India. The prison was used by the British especially to exile political prisoners to the remote archipelago.

The building had seven wings, at the centre of which a tower served as the intersection and was used by guards to keep watch on the inmates; Only three wings are remained.

Day 4

You can rent a bike(Rs. 400-500 per day) or a bicycle ( Rs.100 per day) in Neil Island.

All the adventure activities at Bharatpur Beach closes at 3pm as they will be moving to Laxmanpur beach for Sunset

A natural rock formation in Laxmanpur beach is locally known as the Howrah Bridge. Visit the place during low tide as the retreating sea leaves behind many a secret from its treasure trove.

Day 5

This beach is best suited to watch the sunrise with an impressive backdrop of natural vegetation and limestone formations. The journey from the Jetty to Sitapur beach itself is refreshing with green fields and a variety of crops and forest trees.

Day 6

Scuba Day:

There are a bunch of Dive shops on Govingnagar Beach road. The famous ones are Barefoot Scuba and DiveIndia. One can book in a day advance for fun dive. But it is advisable to book well in advance if you plan to visit during peak season.

Day 8

One day tour to Baratang: One can get a bus tour for Rs.1300 per person which includes all the transport, entry fees and food for the day

Limestone is a sedimentary rock formed at the bottom of the sea. It is formed by the compression over millions of years of the gradual deposits of many ingredients such as marine life, shells, skeletons and corals.

Things to Remember:

• Chatham Sawmill is closed on Sunday

• Cellular Jail and Limestone Caves are closed on Monday

• Ross Island is closed on Wednesday and the last ferry is at 2 pm

• It is advisable to book the ferry in Advance for Neil or Havelock Island

• Mobile Networks are available almost everywhere but internet doesn't work in most of the places

• Veg Restaurants in Port Blair: Punjabi Dhaba, Annapurna
