Day 1: Started with a train from Surat to Ambala. Reached Ambala at 2 am on 27th Oct 2014. One hell of a train journey it was. Indian railways never misses to amaze us in anyways possible (:P). Overnight Stay in Ambala.
Day 2: Ambala - Went to beautiful Pinjore gardens (also known as Yadavindra Gardens). Perfect Mughal garden style. The garden has been divided into different terraces like “Shish Mahal”, "Hawa Mahal", "Rang Mahal" and "Jal Mahal" etc. The fountains and tree groves add to the beauty of the garden. A heritage train is also present to visit all the monuments and the gardens in the complex. Though I didn't get the chance to visit the gardens at night, of what I have heard and seen in pictures, the garden looks spectacular at night time with all the lights and fountains. Anyways there is always a next time :). The next stop was Timber Trail Heights. I would say it is quite overrated place with pathetic amenities and service. Not recommended to go. It was an experience. From there on the real journey starts to Shimla. We arrived at evening in Shimla
