• A unique thing to experience in this ancient town is to enjoy a coracle ride on the waters of the River Tungabhadra.
•A coracle is a circular shaped country boat that can carry about 6 to 8 people on a single trip across the river.
•These coracle boats have been in use in Hampi since the time of the Vijayanagara Empire.
• we had to climb a hill and then climb downhill to reach the river .
• due to the natural Terran of the place , the way was amidst stone hills by the side.
• after we crossed around 100 m , we finally saw the river and god ! the view was to die for.
• We reached the river in excitement when the sun was just about to set . we took the ride , it was 300 per person.
• The process of getting into the boat is also very different from out regular boats , one needs to go , one by one and gently sit around the diameter of the boat in a clock wise direction.
• The boat we choose was a 9 seater . 5 seater is also available.
• We then started our ride with uber excitement and the experience didn't put us down at all!
• It felt extremely peaceful and serene . The sky was all kind of beautiful.
• As we went ahead our the person who rode the boat showed us some more heritage structures of a meditation centre and temples.
• After a while we were literally riding through two huge hills on our sides and some stones were playing there own forms.
• there was a composition of 4 such stones where there was a very little gap between it and still we managed to go through that gap and get amidst the 4 stones.
• and then on our way back ti the shore they rotated the coracle and we could see insane kind of colours in the sky as we lay down the edge.
• What an incredible experience it was! filled with excitement , thrill , joy and serenity , peace at the same time.
• Ticked this off my bucket list only to realize that i would surely go back and experience it again.
