But My friend where coming from Bengaluru and they where having bike ( they took Bengaluru -Hassan Dharmasthala -karakala- balgal - mullodi(kudremukh trek starting point ) .
So they took me from karakala busstand . Road from karakala to mullodi is beautiful through lush green valley ( I would recommend to try it once ) through kudremukh national park but this road is open from 9 am to 5 pm there will be two check post by kudremukh forest department first checkpoint u have to show your ID card and get permit to enter forest department road while in second checkpost u have take trek pass (500 rs per person)
Note - no atm and petrol bunk on the way so carry cash and fill up your petrol tank
No network only so carry BSNL sim and very low network for jio, that also in some area near balgal.
We reached our destination mullodi
In mullodi there are lot of home stay but road toward mullodi from balgal is in very bad condition not recommended to take bike better call the homestay guy they are having jeep . We some how manage to take bike till starting point of trek we stayed in raaje Gowda home stay for night . Camping facilities is provided by them even have room ( not in good condition but can some how manage)
We start early in morning for trek . Third check point the starting point of trek will open at 6 clock . Every group will be alloted a guide . We start our trek by 8 clock, for first two hour it was flat terrain afterward difficult part of trek will start slightly slope terrain it will again 1 hour to pass that area in the end by 12 clock we reached at the top of hill after long 4 hour tiring trek . We had lunch which we got from home stay . Please carry food while coming and 1water bottle because on the way lot of fresh water stream are there. Don't carry plastic wrapper ,chocolate it's is prohibited inside the forest. After having lunch we stayed there for 1 hour by 1 clock we left that place by 5 clock we came back to our home stay. Near home stay one waterfall is there to rejuvenate ourselves we went there and took a bath. At night we had dinner and did bonfire
Early morning I left from home stay went back to Mangalore from there I boared train back to mumbai

To reach kudremukh there are two ways one you can get down at Udupi and get bus to karakala in every half an hour u will get the bus it will take 1 hour to reach here . again from karakala you can get bus to kalasa which will take 2 more hour
Second way - you can get down at mangalore get a direct bus to kalasa which will take max 4 hour.
If u want you can get down at balgal busstop(near balgal homestay) . Which nearest busstop to kudremukh trek.
