Information about Gokarna and how to travel from Mangalore

Early morning I started my journey from managlore to gokarna. This was my first solo trip I was excited and also slightly worried because when I browsed online I never found any info as to how to reach Gokarna via  bus during the day.
And if you are someone who do not want to switch buses like I do you can definitely wait for buses post 15:30 hrs.
Let me tell you how I went in the morning. I took the first bus (6:30 am IST) from lalbaugh to Kundapura (145.00 INR), from there I  took government bus to kumta (160.00 INR), from Kumta I took my final bus to Gokarna ( 30.00 INR).
Gokarna is a beautiful place with reasonable stay option ranging from 300 INR (Shacks on kudle Beach)  to 5000 INR (A/C Rooms) .
One can always hire bikes ranging from 600 INR to 1000 INR ( during weekends). Relying on public transportation may not be a right choice.
I would suggest plan on finishing your dinner early or carry some snacks to beat your midnight hunger pangs as the city sleeps by 8:30  pm .
You definitely will find shacks on shores of beach but unlike goa or other tourist spots gokarna is mostly laid back and slow. Still untouched by the hustle and bustle of the city.
If you are looking for a place to stay on budget and relax GOKARNA is the right place for you . With Little for everyone within the parameters of Gokarna . For hikers and trek lovers you have YANA Caves and for some one to want to experience goa Palolem is the closest to Gokaran and can always hire taxi for 2500 INR and visit the place.
Ola / Uber or any of taxi app does not work here
Zomato / Swiggy also does not deliver food here

While returning back you can always take the local bus or the train that would travel from goa towards managlore and Bangalore.  Timing and days are based on availability kindly visit the train station for the same.
