Day 1

I reached mysore at 9 a.m. morning by train.

I have heard of the cleanliness of the Mysuru junction and it was damn true , the station was cleanest station I have ever seen. Plus the beautiful paintings done on the wall of the way leading to out of the junction was totally astonishing. After coming out of the station, I went to take a bus .

Then I firstly went to zostel which I had booked for the day. I reached there. The interiors of the zostel is designed so beautifully that it seems that you came to a film set. Then the warden showed me my bed in 8 dorm room.

I was delighted to meet my roommates , one of them was from Gujarat, one was a German, one was from Karnataka itself we all were of the same age , and the next guy was a 47 year old man from pune who had a hotel business in goa , he works for 6 months and travels for the next months. He became a travel influencer for me.

After talking to each other for almost an hour we decided to get ready . I got ready and left the hostel by 11 a.m.

Before going to the Mysore Palace . I decided to eat breakfast at the famous hotel Mylari. Please try it's poori saagu and mysore special dosa. It remains closed on Tuesday.

Then I went to the Mysore Palace. The palace was huge and beautiful. It took me two hours to explore the palace.

Then I went to the Jaganmohan Palace Art Gallery and Auditorium. It had a great collection of paintings.

Then I went to the the Guru Sweet Mart which is the origin place of the famous Indian sweet 'The Mysore Pak ' which is so delicious that I can cannot express. You would get 1 kg Mysore Pak at rs 400 . You can buy according to your capacity.

Near the guru sweet mart is the famous flower market of Mysore. The atmosphere inside this market is filled with pleasant smell of several flowers.

Then I went to the India's Milk Bar shop which serves the best lassi of the town.

Then I went to the St. Philomena Cathedral which one of the largest church of India. I remained there for one hour just seeing different parts of the church and sitting in the church premises.

As it was raining continuously, it was the perfect time to enjoy coffee ☕ and I found the perfect place for it. The Cothas Cafe serves you one of the best coffee of the city. You would get an aroma of coffee from 200-250 m far away from the cafe.

Then I went to the Brahmin soda factory , which is the best soda serving shop in the city. Please try the Sarsaparilla soda.

Then I went back to the hostel. Then we all 5 roommates went to Anima Madhva Bhavan for dinner. Please do try it's South Indian thali.

Then we came back at the hostel.

Then we started talking to each other at the common hall. We were joined by the members of different rooms, and then by 3 wardens themselves.

We were talking till 1:30 am. Who says that solo travelling becomes boring. In Mysore itself I made dozens of Friends and how we shared our travel experiences that night was totally amazing.

Day 2

Next morning I woke up at 9:00 am and got ready. After doing breakfast , I checked out from zostel and reached the railway station. I took the train to bangalore. What makes this rail route between Mysore and Bangalore special is the presence of town of Ramnagaram, where the shooting of the iconic film of Sholay took place. You can easily see the unique mountains where Gabbar and his decoits resided. I was unable to click the photogragh of that mountain as the train didn't stopped at that station.

I reached Bangalore(K.S.R.railway station)at 2:00p.m. Then I went to Majestic metro station and took a metro to Indiranagar where I booked zostel to stay. After coming out of the metro station I saw a road flooded with branded shops and posh restaurants and breweries. This is 100 Feet Road. Then I headed towards zostel. I reached there and changed in my dorm and got ready.

Today's plan was to visit Bangalore palace and the places near the palace . I took the bus from the metro station to Shivaji Nagar bus stop. From there I took the bus to the bus stop near Bangalore palace.

This palace is truly royale. It just looks like an European palace. Entry ticket is costly of 240 rs. Do not take an extra ticket for photography which they will insist because it has a extra charge of 300 rs. There is nothing worth of photography inside the palace as most of the gates inside the palace are closed. Photography outside the palace is worth it and it is obviously free.

Then I went to the fun world and the snow city which is near the palace (only for self satisfaction, that I went there😅) because it requires a full day to enjoy there. It is good for families and the entry fees is 800rs for fun world and separate fees for snow city.

Then I went to the famous restaurant 'Udupi' which was near the palace. I ate Rawa idli there, and I want you tell you that those two idlies were so tasty and sufficient that made my big stomach full. Sambhar and chutney was also awesome.

Then I took the bus to shivaji nagar bus stop . From there I went to St Mary's Basilica Church which was at a walkable distance from there. I remained there for half an hour.

Then I started heading towards the Commercial Street which is the major place to do shopping in Bangalore. I reached there and saw a road loaded with several shops and one of the best old restaurants.

Then I headed towards Ulsoor lake which was at walkable distance from there. Though I was not knowing that it gets closed after 7p.m. and it was 8:10 p.m. ,when I reached there. Though the lake was not visible but the reflection of the tall buildings on the water made it look more beautiful. Then I went to M. G. Road mall.

Then I went to Trinity metro station which was nearest to it. I took ticket to Cubbon park. After reaching there I walked outside the boundaries of Chinnaswami stadium. I was heading to the Airlines hotel for dinner which is very famous for its South Indian food. Using the gps I reached there but there was no clear board outside, only I saw a large group of people inside. Then I saw a very old washed out and bent board of the hotel which was barely visible. I went inside the restaurant and ordered butter masala dosa and a hot coffee which I was insisted by the manager of the hotel that it was one of the best dishes served there. The dosa was very yummy and coffee was awesome. Then I returned to Zostel. Interiors of this hostel are also amazing .Two common Hall , one dining hall and a canteen (which was not in mysore).

At 11:50 P. M. I came back to my bed. But then I saw a hammock in the verandah of the hostel and at that time no one was on it too. Honestly speaking I always wanted to spend a night beneath the coconut trees on a hammock. I was so happy that i jumped at my place and readily took out my earphones from my bag and went in the verandah. I laid down on the hammock and started playing Taylor Swift's songs ( I am a Swifty😄) . I wanted to stay there the whole night. But the hammock was wet as it rained during the evening. So I came back after half an hour as I started feeling a little bit cold. Then I came back to my room and then went to sleep..

Day 3

Next morning I woke up early as I had to check out at 10:00 a.m. So I got ready and did breakfast at the hostel itself. Then I took a metro to the majestic metro station from where I went to KSR railway station and I put out my luggage in the cloak room. Then I took a metro to the lalbagh.

Firstly I went to the Lalbagh Botanical Garden. It is very large with a variety of species of trees. Please do see the White Silk Cotton Tree and I can bet you that you have never ever seen such a tree before.

Then I started heading towards the V. V.Puram food street which is a heaven for a foodie. It is flooded with eateries. Please try the Mysore special dosa, Tatte Idli, and Obbattu(which is actually Pooranpoli) at 'Idli Mane' Shop. You can also try out at other shops too.

Then I started walking to Tipu Sultan Summer Palace. This palace is also nice. Then I Went to Bangalore Fort which is near the palace. You can skip this fort as it is just a group of walls and nothing else. Then I took a metro to Majestic from Chickpet Metro station and from Majestic to cubbon park.

Then I went to Vishweshwaraya Industrial And Technological Museum. This museum is a must visit if you are science geek.

Then I went to The Collection - U. B city mall. Frankly speaking I am a budget traveller, and I only go to such mall for seeing different shops and restaurants 😅😅.

Then I walked through the Cubbon Park. It doesn't seems a park instead it looks like a forest as you can only see trees around.

Then I Headed towards the Vidhan Soudha which is the seat of the state's legislative Assembly. This is so huge and is beautifully constructed.

Then I took a metro to M. G. Road metro station. Then I headed towards the Mekkah Cafe in the Johnson's Market which is famous for it's Sulaimani Chai. Please also try out it's samosa and khajuur (a sweet). Chai is just awesome here.....

Then I went to famous Koshy's Bakery which is near to the cafe. There I ate doughnuts and lemon tart which were delicious too.

Then I walked towards the Church Street. This is again a famous Street in Bangalore which is crowded with pedestrians. Visit the Blossom Book Store which contains an ocean of book.

Now it was time to go as I had a train booking to Hampi. Then I took a metro to Majestic Metro station and took back my luggage from the cloak room. I ate Bissibell Bath at station which is famous local cuisine. It was delicious. Then I waited for the train( Hampi Express) . Train came and I was all set to go to Hampi. I slept as soon as I boarded the train as I was tremendously tired and had to explore Hampi next day.

Day 4

Next morning I reached Hosapet at

7: 30 a. M. I got ready at the station itself as the washrooms and bathrooms are relatively clean here. I placed my luggage in the cloak room. Then I took a govt. bus to Hampi (12.8 km from the station)which only takes 20 rs from the railway station. You can also hire autos, cabs, vans, as per your need but they are costlier.

I reached Hampi By 10:00 a. M.

I had never seen such a town earlier. It seems like that we have come to a 1960's film shoot. Surrounded by unique mountains which are made up of big stone boulders.

Then I first went to Virupaksha Temple . This temple is adorable and is filled with many devotees. You would be pleased after hearing the constant background South Indian classical music in the temple premises.

Then I went on the banks of Tungabhadra River Which is adjacent to the temple. You should try the coracle boating here because it is a unique experience. The boat will take you to an island where you would find a no. of restaurants of which 'Laughing Buddha' restaurant is worth mentioning. Then I came back to the temple side. Then I done my breakfast at Suresh Restaurant near the temple. Then I went to Hemakuta group of temples , Kadalekalu Ganesha temple ,Sasivekalu Ganesha Temple and Lakshmi Narsimha Temple which were near the Virupaksha Temple.

Then I started heading to lotus temple and the places near it. The way to the temple was so good. It felt like I was in Goa as the roads are surrounded by banana fields bordered by tall coconut trees . On the way I also went to the Chandikeshwar Temple and Underground Shiva Temple.

I reached there after walking for almost half an hour. The first place that i visited was the underground Shiva temple. Then the Hazararama temple which was beautiful. Then I went to the Royal enclosures which included the Mahanavmi Dibba, Stepwell, Queen's Bath and Public Bath. Then I headed towards the Lotus Temple, Elephants Stables and Ranga temple. Then I sat outside the Lotus temple and drank the coconut water. In South India you would see plenty of coconut vendors who offer you coconut water and coconut milk ( which they call malai). After quenching my thirst I started coming back to Virupaksha Temple. Now it was satisfy my hunger too and I knew a perfect place for that. I went to the famous Mango Tree restaurant and ate South Indian thali which was yummmyyy. Then it was 4:00p.m. and I had my train from Hampi to Hyderabad at 5:50 p. M. So I had to skip going to Famous Vithalla Temple which was little away from there which I regret today also. It is a must visit in Hampi. I came back to Hosapet station by a bus and I boarded my train to Hyderabad at 5:50 p. M.
