What is a Gender Park?
Gender inequality is a pressing subject in our country. To address this issue, Kerala government has set up a 24 acre campus which would spread the message of equality and also empower women.
Where is it located?
The gender park with a Gender museum, Library, amphitheatre and convention centre is located at Silver hills, in Kozhikode, Kerala.
When is the gender park going to open?
As per media reports, Kerala Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the premises on 11th of February.
What's in it for you?
According to reports, a Gender museum at the park shall showcase the various social struggles of women and their achievements since the renaissance period. Thus, You would get to know about the journey of women in shifting of their social status.
