Tarkarli is place near to Malvan . Basically it is beach so u can enjoy all the activities.
We travel from Mumbai by train and get down at Kudal station . It's overnight journey . Try to reach between 8 to 9 am at Kudal.
Ricks take around 600 Rs to drop to your book hotel or place . Distance is about 28 km and it takes almost 1.5 to 2 hrs journey because of narrow road and lot of turns. Frequency of Bus is every 30 mins n u can get it from Station only .Once u reach to Malvan ( if u r travelled by bus ) then u can hire two wheeler. They take 300 to 350 Rs/ day charge . From here tarkarli is around 6 km . Four wheeler is also available for hire if u want . For couple two wheeler is enough n convenient also because of traffic during peak season . From here go to Tarkarl.

Now about hotels , there r lots of hotel in Tarkarli . Try to book hotel in advance to get good hotels and beach side location. If u have not planned then still u can get hotels or homestay because every home in tarkarli has homestays. MTDC resorts , Mansi Beach resort , Avisa Nile , Blue water , Ocean Bliss , Breezewood resort ,Visava beach resort, these r good places to stay. They r all in between Tarkarli to Devbagh beach. Hotels on the Devbagh beach r very good . In the evening u must visit Rock Garden in Malvan before sunset . U can also visit Ganesh Temple near to rock garden .
Then next day either u can visit places by boat in the sea like Tsunami beach , sangam point , Dolphin point , seagull point . They r just adjacent to each other n it takes half hr n then the boat guy take u to tusnami beach where u can do water sports there . For dolphins point u have to reach by 6 to 6.30 am n they charge extra 500 Rs per boat . Try to get the boat from Devbagh beach , it is near to all the points n cheaper also .We gave him 500 Rs for 4 people after bargaining . Boat carry 6 to 8 people . So more the people less to pay . Actually We went in afternoon so we didn't see Dolphin so no need to pay extra 500 . From Tarkarli they charge 1200 rs per boat. I think because of distance they charge more . Then we did water sports activities at Tsunami beach , not much of thrilling so didn't enjoy that much . There r jet ski ride , bannana ride , jumping ride , paracelling ride , speed bait ride . For Rs 500/person we hv done banana , jumping n jet ski ride. For paracelling they charge 800rs/single & 1200 Rs/couple. Actually in the morning we have done scuba diving around 9 am at Tarkarli beach. They told 1200rs/person n after bargaining settled to 1000rs.Though water was not that clear it was overall good experience , we enjoyed it . At Malvan they charge 600rs only but the think they compromise on quality n not much deep also , so do it in Tarkarli only. After doing all these activities u can have nice food at any good hotels . There r lots of restaurants in Tarkarli . In the evening then u can hv silent walk on the beach near to ur hotel n enjoy the nature . If u have one more day then u can visit Vengurle beach . It is nice, clean n isolated beach 25 km from Malvan . That's all about Tarkarli
