Visit to Matheran: First we went by train from Pune to Neral. It was 2 hours journey. From Neral we went by taxi to Matheran. It was an awesome experience. We enjoyed the ride.
The taxi dropped us to Aman Lodge. Aman Lodge to Matheran is a 1 km journey. In whole of Matheran, there is no petrol /diesel vehicle allowed. We walked 1 km and reached Matheran by 1 pm. We walked straight to the hotel. It was okay. After taking rest, we went for lunch and then visited some points in Matheran like echo point, Matheran sunset point, Alexander point, Louisa point. It was amazing journey.
We watched the sunrise in Matheran. It was beautiful view. We then had train from Neral. We went by horse from Matheran to Aman Lodge and then took taxi to Neral. Overall, it was very good experience. Must visit in monsoon time.
