Konnagar is only an hour drive from Kolkata. Many trains are also available from howrah station. Just beside Ganga river this garden house is situated. The entire complex is very well maintained with greenery and flowers. At every corner there are pieces of artwork. The main house has been transformed into an art gallery with beautiful collection. You can bring a book and spend a quiet afternoon in the shades or on the benches beside Ganga.
Goswami rajbari:
The next destination on our list was serampore. The place is only half an hour drive from Konnagar. The old rajbari was built in the early 19th century. Now used for many movie shootings, this place is perfect for shutterbugs.
There are many great restaurants in serampore providing Danish food. So, that's another thing to try on this trip.
