So, it was a sudden plan and we decided to spend our was winter(sort of) in pondicherry/Puducherry, I still call it pondy though.
So we started on saturday morning from chennai and what could be worse than a heavy rain when you are planning your vacation. It was raining cats and dogs, but finally we made it to the bus stop, got into our bus and the journey started.
Even though it was raining, but it was beautiful view all together.
In another 2.45 hrs we reached pondy and started our way to the hotel, which was near the rock beach and was 3km approx from the stop.
We took an auto and reached our destination, though it was quite early for the check in, so we decided to take a stroll around near by places and have our breakfast. We checked out few restaurants here and there and finally ended in "Surguru spot restaurant", its a beautiful restaurant which will give you a vintage kind of feel, actually almost all restaurants will give you that vibe.
Then again we started walking in some random direction and reached museum, since we have enough time before we check in, we thought of having a look and it was actually mesmerizing apart from the fact that it was raining again and it was kind of dripping inside the museum.
After this we finally checked in and took some rest and now it was lunch time.
For north indian food we went to this beautiful restuarant near beach which is called "Delhiwala6", it is a prettt restaurant painted all yellow, I would suggest this place if anyone is craving amazing northindian food.
After lunch, still rainy weather we walked and went to "Aurobindo Ashram", which again one of the main spot in Pondy, it is indeed a very peaceful place.
After this finally we started exploring the French colony, which is all these yellow buildings/house/office, it is actually a mesmerizing view, you do get amazing photos here.
Lastly, at evening we went to beach again, and this time also it was drizzling and the waves were very ferocious, it was a breathtaking view and one must take a walk along that area and finally for dinner, we ended up in La Pasta, which serves amazing pasta in town.
And that's how our day1 ended.
The very next day was all about finding place to eat, since it was raining and all our plan got spoiled, not exactly spoiled, it was kinda pleasant day, rain pouring and us walking around the place near rock beach.
We actually reached our bus stop which was 4km away by walking, since roads were empty.
We explored nearby churches and also there was a book fair(similar to book chor) where we bought some amazing books for reasonable price.We kept on walking in the rain and finally found a mall, where we spent the next few ours, just sitting, eating and sipping hot coffee.
