The city that sparkles because the yellow-golden colored sandstone used throughout the architecture of the town and the fort & at the far end of the city there is Thar desert. It is a city of culture, food, remarkable jain temples, pigeons, sand dunes, sun and camel.
I started my way from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer's sand dunes at morning and reached there withing 4-5 hours .This was the city's soul. the rays of sun touched beautifully to the sand hills. I stayed at tent which is the best thing of desert. After getting fresh I head to Sam sand dunes by camel ride. It was really a bumpy ride with camel . The sunset at desert is something you can't miss and the jeep safari to the thar is the one of the most adventurous thing.
After the morning jeep safari and witnessing beautiful sunrise at Thar desert I came back to the city but on the way to jaisalmer we headed to Khaba fort and there's around abandoned village. this experience was differnt because there were few people on the road as well as in the fort.
I stayed at Hotel Royal haveli which really looked like haveli with yellow sandstone carvings and beautiful lit-up rooms. Then after li'l rest we headed to the massive golden fort. the yellow stone ,pigeons, bats are all about fort. The city looks really golden from top of the fort .there was mot single building that had a different colour. For every bong 'sonaaar kellaa..' is a nostalgia when little Mukul looks up at the magnificent fort in the climax of of Satyajit Ray's 'Sonar kella' (Golden Fort)
After exploring the fort we headed to Jaisalmer's Royal cenotaph "Bada Bagh' which literally means big garden. The structure of cenotaph is beautiful and literally appeared liked rosary beads . The best place to experiment with your photographs .
after enjoying the beautiful afternoon there we went to hotel enjoyed the night view of alluring golden fort from my hotel.
I started my day with a hot coffee at a pleasant balcony of my room with a view of tons of building made of yellow stone . I looked and wished to live forever in yellow stone castle .
Then after coming out my day dreaming i got ready to explore the havelis (castle) of the city. The havelis are beautifully architect with amazing exterior.
Post lunch i headed to a jain temple outside the jaisalmer city by hiring a cab.
Ended the Jaisalmer tour with the beautiful Gadisar lake . One can enjoy boating in the lake. lake is pretty beautiful with well maintained ghats and temple at its banks.
