In the heart of The Great Indian Thar Desert, Jaislamer is one of the enticing destinations for travel enthusiasts. Also known as the Golden City as yellow sand and yellow sandstone are used in every architecture of the city. This vibrant city can best be explored on foot and here is Jaisalmer Fort and off course Desert Safari's main attraction.

Day 1

1) Do Desert Safari:

A desert safari can be the perfect way to witness the stunning sand dunes. Desert safari includes a full-day camel ride across several sand dunes in the Jaisalmer Desert, followed by an authentic traditional style dinner with local dance performances at the Desert Camps.

There are a variety of options available to choose for a desert safari, from a half-day desert trip to an adventurous night in the middle of the desert under the sky to luxurious tents complete with modern amenities.

Therefore, our suggestion is to do an adventurous night in the middle of the desert under sky. Riding with the camels into the sunset was simply amazing. The cultural show at the camp afterwards was probably the highlight. The dancing of the two Indian woman in their colourful dresses was fascinating. They even managed to animate us to dance with them. . After dinner they again drove us back to the dunes. They set up beds for us which were comfortable .We fell asleep looking up at the stars in the sky which was simply amazing The next morning we got up super early to drive with the jeep over the sand dunes to a sunrise point. Cruising over the dunes with the jeep saw the amazing sunrise at dunes and “That was one of the most incredible sights I’ve ever seen!.

Day 2

2) Explore the Golden City:

Visiting Jaislamer Fort is the perfect way to explore the area, it is one of the few living forts in India as there are more than 2000 people still living in the fort. You can just wander around and explore this ancient city. You can also climb up its walls and enjoy a magnificent view of the golden city.

By walking you can visit the nearby places to see Nathamal ki haveli, Salim Sing ki Haveli and Patwon Ki Haveli to see the beautiful architecture of the vibrant city.

Day 3

3) Bike ride to Tanot Mata and Longewala War Museum:

Bike riding is one of the best way to experience the Desert. Tanot mata is 120 Km from jaisalmer City. And Longewala War Memorial is approximately 40 km from there. The roads had a beautiful landscape of massive windmills, barren stenches of sand dunes covered with thorny shrubs and deserted trees. The magnificent road was moving up and down like a roller-coaster ride.

Day 2

4) Stay a Suryagarh:

Staying at Suryagarh is truly a Royal experience. Seamlessly mixture of traditional outlook and modern influence, offering ultra-luxury in royal setting. Miles away from the city of Jaisalmer, this estate lies somewhere in the middle of the desert.

Everything appears to be about immaculate. From the arches to white chiffon curtains, chandelier to the decor of the rooms, the antique collections to the paintings. Having breakfast in the courtyard of Suryagarh with peacock, Golden Retriver, birds and turtles will give you a royal experience.
