The best place to stay in Rishikesh is at tapovan area it is in the middle of the city and you can visit different places like Triveni Ghat, Ram jhula, pramanath ashram aur even the cafes.
At tapovan area there are plenty of hostels dormitories hotels and even meditation centre. You can reach the Pawan area by taking a rickshaw from from Rishikesh bus stop sharing rickshaw is available which will cost you around 10 to 20 rupees per person.
Commute in Rishikesh:
The best and cheap way to commute into different places of Rishikesh is through sharing rickshaws. Why sharing rickshaw you can reach any of the location in just 10 to 20 rupees per person
There are also rented two wheelers available very easily. It will be from morning 9 o'clock to evening 9 o'clock which will cost you around 600 to 700 rupees. Plus petrol will be on your pocket.

Triveni Ghat - the magnificent Ganga Aarti starts at 7:00 p.m. every evening at Triveni Ghat. In Rishikesh there are three locations wear in Ganga Aarti are performed - Pramanath Ashram, Lakshman jhula and Triveni Ghat.
You can reach Triveni Ghat through local riksha which can be available from Laxman jhula or tapovan. Rickshaw charges will be 10 rupees for person
Ganga Kinara - yes! Rishikesh means river rafting and bungee jumping but with this all adventurous activities do not miss to just sit down at the banks of river Ganga take a bath in it and feel the immense peace of mind.
You can reach other banks of Ganga my just going down from Laxman a bridge Laxman jhula or Ram jhula and have a bath in river Ganga just be very careful with the flow of Ganga it is advised that you must take it bath near the banks only and not go much deep inside the river. The best time to take a bath in Ganga according to me is before sunrise!!!
The white sand beach - this place is quite away from the city and you need a personal vehicle or private auto rickshaw to reach the location. The white sand beach is one of the most cynic Instagram able place of Rishikesh if you are a sunset lover do visit this place at the time of sunset and if you are a sunrise lover visit this place by 6:00 a.m. the place is not at all crowded carry some food packets and sufficient in a water to drink as there will be no stores or food available at the place.
The Beatles ashram paramanath ashram Laxman jhula neer garh waterfall (only time to visit is in monsoon) this are also beautiful places to visit in Rishikesh.
