Shoghi is approx 330 kms , about 6 hrs 57 Minutes drive from Delhi.You can plan the trip in night as well as we did to avoid the hassles of heavy traffic during the day.What we found special about this place is its location amidst natural surroundings and not heavily commercialized as Shimla.So if you are visiting Shimla in sometime and looking to stay away from the busy tourist city than Shoghi is a best place to stay.Shimla is around 13kms ahead Shoghi so is easily accessible if you want to explore this beautiful tourist destination.
We stayed at a beautiful newly built property called Shoghi eco valley resort and spa a beautiful boutique hotel which offers mesmerising view of the mighty hills.The beautiful mornings and calm evenings were the best,we enjoyed every bit of our special vacations at Shoghi and planned a day to visit Shimla as well.You can take the train to Shimla as well,which will give you a beautiful experience of travelling between the hills enjoying the beautiful nature.
Shoghi has grown to a weekend destination for calm and seclusion desiring tourists.The green trekking trails and cool climate makes it a best camping place as well.Bird watching is an another activity which one can enjoy doing while camping in this beautiful place,as many rare species can be seen nesting here in the valley.
Shoghi is indeed a budget destination that offers calm,relax and peace from our busy city life and worries of the common world.we did enjoy our time relaxing and exploring hope this information will be helpful for others as well.
