Gurudongmar lake is situated in North Sikkim. It is the 2nd highest lake in the world with 17800ft, Oxygen level is very low at this high altitude.
Beauty of this lake is breathtaking. Gurudongmar lake is situated in lachen, a small and heavenly village in North Sikkim. Before visiting Gurudongmar lake you have to stay one night here, it takes 3 to 4 hr to reach from lachen.
This lake is very close to tibbet border.
Best time to visit Gurudongmar is murch to june.
First you have to come to Gangtok then from there you have to collect the inner line permit, otherwise you can depend on the travel organiser.
