Here are some of the amazing extreme adventure activities you can try out.

1. Get a 360* view of the Swiss Alps

One of the favourites of the people visiting Switzerland has been taking a ride up to Mount Titlis to enjoy a 360 degree view of the Swiss Alps. After exploring the medevial architecture of Lucerne, a Swiss city located 50 kilometres away from capital Zurich, a rotating cable car will transport you from the beautiful quaint town of Engelberg to Mount Titlis where you can take in the breathtaking views.

2. White Water Rafting down Lütschine River

Spring is when Switzerland becomes heaven for white water rafters. This spot in the Bernese Oberland region is known to have the best class III and Class IV rapids in Switzerland. The best time to raft down this scenic valley in Interlaken is between March and May. Some other places where you can go rafting are Rhine River, Landquart River, Rhone River, Simme River, Arve River, Saane River and Inn River.

3. Paragliding

Fly past the mountains, lakes and valleys of Switzerland in a tandem flight with an experienced pilot. Enjoy the views of Lake Thun and the Jungfrau mountains. Some other places you can go paragliding are the Saleve mountain region near Geneva, Verbier, Lauterbrunnen, Lugano, Engelberg, and the Lake Lucerne region in Lucerne.

Take canyoning to the next level at Chli Schliere With Canyoning, Rappelling, Jumps and fast slides, this place is the ultimate thriller. 60 minutes away from Interlaken, Chli Schliere is well-known to be physically and technically challenging but is a guaranteed spot to get your adrenaline pumping. Other places that offer Canyoning experiences are La Tienda Canyon, Interlaken Canyon, Triage Canyon, Ticino Canyons, La Salanfe Canyon, and Geneva Canyons.

5. Trekking on Mount First

A cable car ride up from Bernese to Mount First gives you the opportunity to go on the First Cliff Walk and trek to Lake Bachalpsee which is a short but beautiful, three kilometer trek.

6. Skiing in the Alps

The ultimate dream of any adrenaline junkies. Grindelwald is the perfect place to ski especially if you’re a beginner and wanting to learn. Other places that you can go skiing in Switzerland include St. Moritz, Zermatt, Gstaad, Verbier, Crans-Montana, Davos, Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets, Laax, and Champéry.

7. Explore Glacier 3000

A favourite among tourists, Glacier 3000 has multiple activities that you can indulge in. From dogsled rides to cross country skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, visiting a snow park or riding the alpine coaster, there are a lot of adrenaline pumping activities at this place. A bonus is walking the First Cliff Peak Walk by Tissot, the only suspension bridge in the world that connects two mountain peaks and is at a height of 3000 meters above sea level.

8. Bungee Jumping at Condra Dam

Located at 220 meters above sea level, this is the highest Bungee Jumping spot in the world. If you are a Bollywood fan, this is the same spot that the climax of Dhoom 3 (Aamir Khan Jumping off the dam) was shot. If you are a Hollywood fan, this is the same spot where the James Bond movie, Goldeneye, was shot. They offer different types of jumps, each varying in style. The basic jump which is called the 007 Classic Jump costs 225 CHF per person. The 007 Backwards Jump costs 195 CHF while the 007 Night Jump costs 225 CHF per person. Other places you can go Bungee Jumping are Canyon Swing, Grindlewald, Stockhorn Bungy, Centovalli Bridge Bungee Jump, and Niouc Suspension Bridge.

Flying through the air at a speed of 90kmph securely attached to a steel cable, experience the alpine meadows a different way. An absolutely thrilling experience. Some other places you can go zip lining are Engelberg, Zermatt, Sternensauser, and Atzmännig.

10. Jetboating in Interlaken

Adrenaline pumping high speed boating on the Brienz River in Interlaken with the pilot taking 360 degree full turns and twists down the River is a favourite among aqua-enthusiasts. The boating also stops at the base of the Giessbach Waterfalls where one can enjoy the breathtaking view.

Switzerland also has a lot you can do on your own, like getting yourself a Swiss Travel pass enabling you to unlimited travel by train, bus, boat and any public transport in the city for a specific number of days, taking a train through the beautiful country side, go ice fishing with the locals on Oeschinen Lake, boating on Rhine Falls, Europe's largest waterfall, going on gondola rides, biking to hiking with the help of Via Ferratas (climbing routes with steps and handholds), hot-air-balloon across Chateau d'Oex, and try the delectable foods of Switzerland (Swiss cheese and chocolates) among other things. Keep in mind that Switzerland is generally cold and always pack something warm, no matter which season you go in.
