Neil Island or North Bay? Where to go for scuba diving in Andaman?

Andaman Nicobar islands will give travelers multiple destinations to go for scuba diving. Since this adventure sports is not particularly cheap, one should have an idea of the different experiences at the different locations.

North Bay
On the first day my brother and I tried scuba diving at the island of North Bay. Here one has to walk from the shore to the deeper sea. So when you dive deep at one side you will have the coastal land and on the other the open sea. Other islands where you go walking gradually into the sea will give you similar experience. You can find countless small fishes and can see the corals up close.

Neil Island
The experience at Neil Island was quite different for us. Here you don't go walking to deeper sea. A boat will take you far away from the coast and there in mid sea one has to dive. So of course the water is cleaner, the experience overall is more peaceful. You can sea much larger fishes. Large aquatic animal sightings like turtles or dugongs are also possible. The corals might not ne visible as clearly as in North Bay though. Overall my brother and I both found the Neil Island diving to be more adventurous and calming than that of North bay.
