Imagine this. You have woken up to a mist laden morning, you step out of your warm comfortable bed to open a large glass door and clouds come floating into your room. In the evening, you are savouring a cup of piping hot Nilgiri chai on the lawns of your villa and you have exotic birds from the neighbouring reserve forest to give you company. Sounds idyllic? All experiences at these villas promise to be just that. So, check in and breathe out!
The Xanadu is a vacation villa like no other. With four locations in two of South India’s prettiest locales - Coonoor and Kodaikanal, these villas promise to transport you to a magical land for the duration of your stay.
What started out as a vacation home for the owners, soon turned into four, because the guests who visited wanted the same touch of comfort, elegance, tranquility and nature in other locations. What makes The Xanadu villas different for other hotels and homestays is that the owners themselves stay for several weeks in a year at the properties, just to ensure that the guests get the same experience that they would have at the property.
The Xanadu, Coonoor
This exquisite three bedroom villa, literally perched on a cliff edge overlooking verdant plains, offers modern Scandinavian architectural style with unparalleled views and the comforts of home. The two couple bedrooms and one twin room, with floor to ceiling glass windows, open into lush green lawns overlooking the plains. Kids can pitch a tent in the lawn under the twinkling stars. While you can step out and explore the quaint little town of Coonoor, but staying back at the villa and watching hills magically appear and disappear in the famous 'Nilgiri' blue haze is also equally, if not more, fulfilling. So if you’re planning a weekend to Netflix and Chill or a small workation (there is wifi available here), The Xanadu in Coonoor could just be where you might head to.
