Spread across a vast area of 1.8 sq kilometers and having some of the rarest bird species in India, visiting the beautiful the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is an ideal thing to do in Goa for bird lovers. Some of the best species are the little bittern, thered knot, the jack snipe and the famous pied avocet. The ecosystem here is well suited for birds and consists of the think mangrove vegetation. Dedicated to the holy St Catherine in Old Goa, the St Catherine is one of the most ancient and architectural building in Goa. It is the largest church in India and is one of the best places to visit in Goa. It is built based on the famous Portuguese-Manueline style of architecture and ha five huge bells one of them being known as the Golden Bell.
