The journey started with an idea to explore!We that is,me and my friend were waiting to go out and explore the unexplored.The decision was made in few minutes over a cup of tea.Early morning I got ready in my riding stuff and was ready to cruise for distances.
The trip we planned for was of SACH PASS,which is a pass in a mountain range of Pir Panjal,in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh at a height of 4390 metres.This pass on its way have some of the deadliest roads,which in some or the other way motivated both of us to reach on the top.
On day 1,we covered a distance of 150km and took a halt at Khajjiar,also called as the "Mini Switzerland of India".We hanged out in the market and clicked some photos there.Believe me the view was so mesmerizing that we were not able to shift our eyes on anything else.It was a large lush green area surrounded by the tall 'Devdar' trees.
On day 2,early morning at 7AM,we both rode our bullets and through the twists and turns along with the River Ravi on one side enjoyed the riding.Bike riding is a real soul-mover,you just can't get any such feeling while sitting in a car with temperatures maintained inside.Bike riding makes you tough and adventurous,as we face everything directly whether it's wind,rain,dust or the heat from the sun.
In the evening we reached a village called Tissa and took a halt there,took some rest and had some 'Chai'(tea).
Suddenly the weather turned the other way and it started raining heavily,although,we had our rain-covers but we knew that the region is prone to landslides,so made a decision to stay at Tissa and move from there,the next morning.
We were tired of waiting for the morning to arrive and to reach the top.As soon as the first ray of sun,touched the ground we went straight on the way without even taking our breakfasts as we were too eager for our destination to arrive.
After 3 hours of hectic journey on the road and a 10 km ride on a rough terrain with steep gradient.The whole journey took around 4 hours,but,the reaching the destination took away all the pain and at that moment there was just peace and tranquility which prevailed.
P.S.:-Do carry your tool-kit and rain-covers,if you are travelling on two-wheeler.Always move in group and close proximity to each other.Drive at a constant pace and take regular interval halts.
