Do you want to enjoy a Luxurious Vacation with your better half without burning a whole in your pocket? Are you looking for an amazing honeymoon destination? Look no further! I am sharing my 10 day itinerary for Thailand's island paradise which has the best of everything you would desire - adventure, party, nature and some amazing properties to stay.
To give you a rough estimate - Our total cost for a couple came down to INR 2 Lakh including Flight, Hotels, Scuba, Sigh Seeing and Excursions, Food and Massages.
Flights -
We started our trip from Phuket and ended in Bangkok. The return flights Ex Mumbai would cost somewhere around INR 20-25k per person.
We also took a domestic flight from Krabi to Bangkok which costed around INR 2000 per person. Also, Phuket has Visa on Arrival for Indians that costs 2000 THB per person.
Hotels -
Stays in Thailand are not very expensive and hence you can get a 5 star property at an average cost of just INR 6000 per night including breakfast!
I am dropping a list of hotels which I had stayed at and all the properties were just mind blowing!!
Phuket - Kalima Resort and Spa
Phi Phi - Phi Phi Cliff Beach Resort
Krabi ( Railey ) - Bhu Nga Thani Resort and Spa
Bangkok - Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Menam Riverside
With flights and hotels out of the way, let's get to the fun filled, adventure packed itinerary!

Land in Phuket and decide what to do from the below options -
Tiger Kingdom - get yourself clicked with some huge cats (800 THB per per person) OR
Phuket City Tour - Hire a taxi to take you around Phuket and visit the Big Buddha, Karon View Point and Patong Beach - 500 THB per person
Or if you are tired with all the travelling, you can choose to relax at the hotel which has an amazing infinity pool.
In the evening, venture out to Patong beach area for enjoying local delicacies and visit the Bangla Walking Street to enjoy the party scene in Phuket.
Head out for a full day tour of James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay which includes Canoeing and lunch at the Panyee village. The entire tour would cost around 1500 THB per person. Come back to your hotel and enjoy a relaxing spa.
Take the afternoon ferry from Phuket to Phi Phi Islands (I would recommend to not take the speed boat; ferries are more relaxed, comfortable and scenic and also cheaper - 500 THB per person). Relax at your hotel after a 3 hour long journey and venture out to explore Phi Phi in the evening on foot. Phi Phi has some amazing collection of swimwear, bags and souvenirs so definitely check it out.
This is going to be a longgg day! Start at 7am in the morning for your Scuba Dive Experience (3800 THB per person). In the afternoon, rent a long tail boat for 3 hours to visit Maya Bay, Viking Caves and Monkey Beach. We hired a private long tail boat for 2000 THB. Experience Phi Phi's best beach party which happens after 9pm everyday. just buy any drink of your choice and enjoy the party at Stones Bar.
I have a detailed video on my Scuba Diving Experience on YouTube - Click Here
Take the afternoon ferry or speedboat from Phi Phi to Railey Beach in Krabi. We opted for a speedboat which costed us 800 THB per person, but we realized that ferry was much better.
If you are staying in Krabi, I would highly recommend to stay at Railey. Its a very small, peaceful island with no roads and vehicles. Head out to watch the majestic sunset at the Railey Beach and dine at one of the many amazing Bars around the place.
Take a tour to the amazing Hot Springs and Emerald Pool where you can also take a dip yourself. The tour costed us 1200 THB including lunch. You can also go to the Tiger Cave temple at a small additional cost. Instead, we chose to explore Ao Nang District which has one of the best Spas if you want to indulge in some luxe massage - Radarom Spa is where we went.
Hire a private long tail boat for 2ooo THB to take you on a four-island tour from Railey. These islands include Tup Island, Chicken Island, Poda Island and Phra Nang Bay. They have the best snorkeling spots if you want to spot some fish.
Take the morning flight from Krabi to Bangkok so that the rest of the day is free for shopping. If you are in Bangkok over the weekend, a visit to the Chatuchak Market is a must! You can also visit Asiatique Riverfront at night.
Early in the morning, take a public ferry to Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) - entry fees is 100 THB. If you have sufficient time, you can also visit the Grand Palace and Wat Phra - entry fees is 500 THB. We skipped the Grand Palace as we wanted more time for Shopping. Listing the places we visited for shopping below -
Pratunam Street Market - Clothes and Bags
Platinum Fashion Mall - Clothes , Bags, Souvenirs, Accessories etc.
MBK Mall - Electronics, Cosmetics at Boots and Watsons Pharmacy.
After the tiring day of shopping, relax at your hotel and enjoy the river view. In the afternoon, take your flight back to Mumbai after a fulfilling trip!
That was my 10 day itinerary for Thailand and I had an amazing trip. My favorite places would be Phi Phi and Railey. If you have already been to Thailand, let me know your favorite in the comments below.
