If you want to get away from the city pollution, don’t think twice, just head straight to God’s own country, Kerala, on the Malabar coast :)
Kerala makes for a good weekend trip or a week long trip as well. Kerala has greenery everywhere. You can get to any nook and corner of the place, you’d still find a picturesque location.I’m mainly covering Munnar, Thekkady and Cochin since we had about 4 days to cover Kerala.
Suggested Itinerary :
Day1-Arrival In Cochin
On Arrival in Cochin proceed for Thekkady ,check in the hotel. After taking some rest, proceed for a boat cruise(on own) at Periyar
Lake in Thekkady, which is synonymous with wildlife and nature treks.
Day2-Thekkdy – Munnar(4 hours)
After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel in Thekkady and go for a spice plantation tour which will last for an hour. Later, you may indulge in spice shopping.Later Driver to Munnar Check in the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 3- Munnar Sightseeing
After breakfast, take a sightseeing tour of Munnar visiting the Tata Tea Museum and enjoy the beautiful serenity of Munnar (famous for its tea plantations. The muuseum is closed on Monday. Also visit Eravikulam National Park. In the evening can explore the local market for Shopping as well.
Day 4- Departure from Munnar
