Udaipur is one of those cities of India that is usually flooded by tourists from all over the world and nonetheless one of the most beautiful cities in Rajasthan. Udaipur can be seen as a perfect template for city travel like 3D 2N packed with boat rides, fancy restaurants, rooftop bars, lavish hotels, and the list goes on and on. However, the city has a lot more to offer than it meets the eye. The "Off-Beat Udaipur" as I may call it and yes the fans of YJHD will definitely remember Kabir and Naina's day in Udaipur. All right all right it's "Bunny" I get it.

Day 1

Karni Mata Temple

Now Let's talk about witnessing the most dreamy sunset you ever could, shall we? But let me warn you this sunset comes at a price of about an hour hike up a mountain. Yes, you read it right. The city of Lakes has a hike as well. Could we be asking for any more fun? and for the lazy bums out there don't need to worry, they've got cable cars as well to reach the top, but I would recommend you take a hike cause always been a mountain person so..... hehehe. Wait a minute, are we not discussing THEE "Pichola lake boat ride sunset" ?. Well, No. Rather than spending 2k-3k for a 15 Minutes ride, a sunset from the top of a hill from where you can see the sun setting over the white city behind the Aravalli ranges is a much better option in my opinion and the cherry on the top is NO TOURISTS to ruin your sunset photos.!!!

Ambrai Ghat & Gangaur Ghat

The riverbank that is named after a traditional ceremony called "Gangaur" practiced by married women accompanied by their husbands carrying vessels on their heads to the river banks. While the Ambrai ghat is exactly on the opposite of the Gangaur ghat. Spending some quality time on these Ghats early in the morning or after the sundown by yourself or with some friends with your feet in the water, looking at the graffitis of Hindu gods and just relax rather than being in your hotel room or hostel common room is a better deal if you ask me.

Bagore ki Haveli

If you're in love with history, culture, architecture, the museum then this is the perfect way to start the trip. The museum itself is a symbol of culture and the rich history it contains is priceless. The rework on the architecture for restoration is just fabulous. While we're on the subject of culture, the night show of traditional dance is a treat for eyes and definitely recommended. The place is not crowded like a Mumbai local so you'll enjoy it even more in peace.

Day 2

Bahubali Hills

The Bahubali hills situated on the outskirts of the City of lakes give the view of the Badi lake which is no less scenic than lake Pichola or Fatehsagar. This part of the city is not much preferred by the tourists so you need to make sure you've got your transportation arranged. It is about 45 mins ride from the city center but it's totally worth it for sure. Visit the Badi lake is free and the best time to visit is anytime during the day, be it an early sunrise or during the day or the Sunset.
