Kathar is a Village in Bargaon Tehsil in Udaipur District of Rajasthan State, India. It belongs to Udaipur Division . It is located 40 KM towards North from District head quarters Udaipur. 25 KM from Bargaon. 372 KM from State capital Jaipur.

Bara- The Hidden Gem in Rajasthan
Yet another offbeat destination in Rajasthan, this quiet place is near Kathar village and has unexplored regions just right for the nature lover in you. There are hidden waterfalls, magical lakes, and some amazing treks. This place is highly recommended to visit at the time of monsoon.
This is one of the oldest temple in bara which surrounded by mountains & lakes.
A place, which is famous for its Rajput-era palaces and scenic locations, a place which is on the bucket list of so many tourists, a place where many plan their dream destination weddings, a place that carries a wide history and culture with it and is known by the names the City of Lakes, Venice of the East, and the Kashmir of Rajasthan. Udaipur, the city where my heart lies.
Places I visited
Badi Lake- Situated around 6-7 kms from Fatehsagar Lake, it is an artificial freshwater lake. It is comparatively less touristy from the other lakes and one can enjoy some peaceful time over here. You can hire a cycle and reach here if you are fit. There is a hill next to this lake, which is locally known as Bahubali Peak. Views of the sunrise & sunset from the top of this hill are just fabulous.
This beautiful trek around Badi Lake Udaipur let’s you see bewitching view of the lake,especially that ‘Crocodile hump’ hill in the middle of the lake.This view is unimaginable while staying down there at the lake.The view at the top is ecstatic, you could see series of hills in the middle of the lake as well as towards the left and right of it.You could see miles into the hills as a glance towards the right.It’s a peaceful place, you can sit there, gossip, do bird watching. listen to music or book reading.
Ambrai Ghat- Situated on the banks of Lake Pichola, it is one of my favorite places in Udaipur! At night, the view of City Palace and Lake Palace from the Ghat is just stunning. The clicks you take here might turn out to be your next great profile picture/wallpapers due to the perfect background this place offers. A journey to Udaipur will be incomplete if you don’t visit this Ghat.
