Terma Linca resorts and spa is located just outside the capital of Bhutan, Thimpu. The resort sits on banks of Wangchu river and it showcases the local architecture of Bhutan while offering modern amenities. The luxury resort is conveniently located just five minutes away from the laid back capital, Thimpu. It’s also just 50 minutes away from the Paro International Airport. The drive to the hotel is scenic which goes though small villages and green landscapes. The hotel has 30 traditional rooms and suites offering the comfort that you will want in your home in Himalayas.

There are two types of rooms available here, deluxe rooms and the suites. The deluxe rooms are wood panelled and you will find a strong influence of Bhutanese culture. The suites are a true blend of luxury and nature which is the hallmark of this property. Each suite has a large bedroom with a separate dining and lounge area. The view from the suite is superb as even the bathrooms overlook the hills and the river.

Food

They have two restaurants which offer the guests a nice mix of international cuisines. Their restaurant, Aie offers cuisines from India, China and Europe as well. They have traditional seating with sweeping views of the Wangchu river and the mountains.

They also have Apa restaurant, which offers unforgettable tastes of Bhutanese cuisine. The dishes are prepared in the traditional method on wood fire while folk singers and dancers serenade the guests offering a nice cultural experience.

They also have Ara bar which is a great place to relax and enjoy some nice cocktails . The mountain air and the exhilarating views offer the perfect setting to sit back, relax and have a good time.

Best time to go

October to December is the best time to visit Bhutan, as the air is clear and the skies are sunny. The winters are pretty cold here, so after January is not recommended.

There is plenty to do here at the resort, whether it’s just relaxing at the magnificent property or indulging in games like archery, which is the traditional sport of Bhutan. Other than that, you can always explore the royal capital of Bhutan, Thimpu, where you can go to the famous Tiger Monastery which is nestled on top of a hill. Take time to stroll through the quaint markets of Thimpu which sell traditional Bhutanese items like caps, handicrafts, etc.

This is one of the most important monasteries of Nyingmapa school of Buddhism, the main seat of the Pema Lingpa tradition. lt is located in central Bhutan and is one of the most pretty places to see in Bhutan. Surrounded by hills, it's a peaceful place to go to. It is bounded on the west side by the Black mountains.

Getting there

The nearest metro city is Kolkata, from where you can either take a cab or fly to Bhutan.

By air: One way flight fare is Rs 5,750

By road: You can drive from Kolkata to Phuentsholing which is the entry point of Bhutan. After that you can take another cab to Thimpu and drive till Terma Lenca, which is just half an hour away from Thimpu. It will take around four hours to complete this drive of 165 km.
