You can avail a cab to reach Chaukori. If you are travelling by train or bus, the nearest railway station and bus stand are at Kathgodam. Kathgodam is at a distance of 180 km from Chaukori and can be reached by availing buses and taxis.
From Nainital (located at distance of 173 km from Chaukori), you can avail a cab. The Travel time is about 5 hours.
From Almora, the travel time is comparatively less. About 4 hours to traverse a distance of about 118 km to Chaukori.
Bageshwar is nearer to Chaukori. Its situated at a distance of about 50 km and the travel time is about 1 hr 45 min.
If you are at Kausani or Pithoragarh, the travel time to Chaukori will be almost 3 hrs to travel a distance of about 86 km.
Munsiyari is also quite close to Chaukori. It is at a distance of about 97 km with a travel time of about 3 hr 40 min.
Best to visit
March to June and September to November are the best months to visit Chaukori. Winters are extremely chilling and hence better to avoid.
