Hailing from a small town, Gwalior, the wanderlust girl within me always wants to reach out to the bucket of nature. I, along with my family packed our bags and suited ourselves to another exciting road trip. We started our journey from Gwalior and reached Haldwani by evening and stayed at a hotel. The next day, we continued our travel and came across with beautiful destinations like Nainital, where we boated in Naini Lake, visited Naina Devi temple, then, Ranikhet, a charming hill station with avid natural beauty, tall pine trees, lush greenery that brings out the peace within you. It took us 3 hours to reach to our destination even though the distance from ranikhet to kausani is just 60 kms, thanks to heavy traffic, narrow roads, sloppy mountains, I could totally enjoy the journey without even getting bored for a second.

We finally reached our destination, Kausani, the Switzerland of India, which basically is a village located in kumoan region of uttarakhand, which offers panoramic landscaped view of Himalayan Mountains, tranquil surroundings and huge pine trees making it a bundle of traveller’s dreamland. One can only reach it via roadway because it, being a small village, do not offers railway facility. The aesthetic beauty of Himalayan Mountains and perfect weather gives enormous joy to each living being dwelling there.

This beautiful village has even more beautiful places to visit, like:

· Shopping at local market

· Handicraft made of locally available materials like shawls, baskets etc.

· Surreal view every time.

Overall, Kausani is a grandeur of a nature’s bounty and should be visited at least once by every traveller out there.

And, I never wanted these roads to end, EVER, to be honest. :)
