It was just like any other day. I was busy in office work. But during afternoon my friend called me up and said they are coming to Hyderabad for 1 day so to plan somewhere to go nearby. And as said, I got too much happy and excited as I was meeting her after 2 years ,made a group in Whatsapp ,wrote the plan and all agreed.
Curious us to know where it was ?
It is in Haritha Valley View Resort Ananthagiri Hills, Vikarabad , operated by Telengana tourism department.
Distance : 80 Km (approx. 2 hr) by car.
Time : 1 day

Transport : Car. (Train is also available & this resort is just 10mins from Vikarabad station)
THE EXPERIENCE ......
We started at 10am in the morning and reached resort by 12pm. Staffs are really fast and we entered our room in just 5/6mins after finishing up all formalities. Our rooms were in 3rd floor and while going there all you can see is green and green. A real treat to eyes. Coming to the room, they are spacious with all standard requirements like ac, freezer ,mirror , chair and table. But the thing which I loved the most was the long open balcony with the hills in background. At night, if you stand there it really feels spooky.
Now let me tell you what you can do.
After freshening up, we click some photos and was going to have lunch. But something funny happened. Suddenly 3 monkeys came in and started making expression seeing us. Frankly we got scared and went down running. That was fun. For lunch you will get andhra food as buffet (all veg). But for non veg lovers like us you will get few options in chicken and egg. My recommendation is dry chicken.
After done with our lunch, we went to take rest, chat among us as we were a group a four. At around 4:30 pm, all of us came down ,took a walk which was really pleasant as everywhere it was full of large trees, mostly mango trees. Seeing mangoes hanging around is love for all of us. There are swing and a swimming pool which take charge of Rs. 100 to enter, but we didn't got the chance to go as a big group has already kept it occupied.
So we went to have some tea and onion pakoris to have for evening and decided to take a tour around by car.
We first went to visit Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swami Mandir just a 5min distance from our resort. Then we decided just to go down the hills and explore. While going down we enjoyed the sunset too as it was almost 6pm then.
Now we heard from the local that their is a beautiful place nearby called Kotapally Kayaking Reservoir. It was almost 20Km there and as network was very slow, so it took us a much long time to reach there by asking people in a nearby village. Though kayaking was closed by that time, but the calm water , sound of different kinds of birds, the breeze all summed up to utter silence henceforth peace.
When we finally decide to go back to the resort and it was almost 7pm. It was dark every where, only few local vehicles were passing and it was spooky. Meanwhile as my friends started telling some haunted stories which boosted that environment.
While we were almost near our resort, we found a local restaurant , DJ Dine Hills, with a beautiful ambience . So we packed some non veg food from there. Thats how our day came to an end. Next day morning we got our complimentary breakfast (idli, vada, upma and tea) and got ready to go back home.
P.S : There is ample area to park your car in the resort and bring cash in hand as network remains poor.
