Dipor bil , also spelt Deepor beel , is located to the south - west of Guwahati city in Kamrup district of Assam.

Beel or bil is an Assamese local word
Deepor beel is permanent freshwater lake, that's the erstwhile water channel of river Brahmaputra ... people are coming for picnic spot here.... open area and the surface of the lake is flared flora like waterlily ,water hyacinth , acuatic grass and belive us. it's adding an extra grace blue clean waters. along with a boat ride. surrounding beautiful nature of evergreen trees and cool wind blowing from the lake you get enjoy visit here.. one can feel the difference with migratory birds while taking a tour here, moreover , you can notice stork .Ducks , kingfisher , and pelicans enjoying in the glory of the climate and making it an attraction for thousands.
