Chitrakoot is my favorite destination in Madhya pradesh I love the Kamadgiri Parikrama where lots of Monkeys come and have food from your hand by holding your hands with theirs very nicely. During Kamadgiri Parikrama half the distance you will be in Madhya Pradesh and other half in Uttar Pradesh.
Chitrakoot falls are bewitching. Gupt Godavari Caves is very unique and you need to explore the deep caves which is partially filled with water it was the most exiting place in Chitrakoot for me. We took bath at Dawn in Ramghat. Sphatic Shila,Hanuman Dhara,Janki Kund and Sati Anusuiya Ashram are famous tourist points in Chitrakoot.

Air
Allahabad Airport is nearest Airport to Chitrakoot. Khajurao Airport is also an option which is near to Chitrakoot. Varanasi is the nearest international Airport, there are frequent trains and buses between all these cities.
Rail
Chitrakoot Railway station is well connected to the major cities from here you can hire an auto-riksha or a taxi for site seeing.
Road

Best time to visit
Winter is good time to visit. Summers are hot.Monsoon experience heavy rainfall. Water level is high and Chitrakoot falls are at its best.
