HOW TO REACH : I was travelling from Malmo, Sweden. So, I took early morning train. It costs me 196 SEK/person. Copenhagen linked to Malmo by the Öresund Bridge.

TOP 10 PLACES TO VISIT IN COPENHAGEN:

I may keep Tivoli Garden at the top but I am not including this in this blog since It was closed and I was not able to visit.

1. Nyhavn :

Don’t forget to take the canal ride. It’s 60 min ride which takes you through all the main attractions of the city and it costs us 100 DKK per person.

If you will search for the Copenhagen in Google, you will see this place as the top sightseeing places and believe me it was the best place. There are beautiful colour bars and restaurant in both the sides of canal. You will see this place from Money Heist if you are a fan of Professor. In season 5 Episode 1, Berlin and his son walking on the same street.

You can enjoy a nice ice cream ,a great waffle along the canal, little bit busy all day, but why wouldn’t it be? Of course everyone wants to see this place.

Entry Fees : If you want to take canal ride, its 100 DKK/person otherwise it is free to visit.

Visiting Time : Open till late night

Best Time to visit : From Day To Night anytime. As per my recommendation, you can take canal ride in day time and can enjoy view in the night as well.

2. Christiansborg Palace :

Christiansborg Palace is a government building in the central Copenhagen, Denmark. It is the seat of the Danish Parliament.

Don’t forgot to visit the top of the palace, from there you can see the amazing view of the city.

It also has Restaurant in the tower with amazing city view.

Entry Fees : You can visit the roof top and palace without any entry fees but if you want to see The Royal Reception Room, The Royal Kitchen, The Ruins and The Royal Stables then it will cost you 160 DKK/person

Visiting Time : It is closed on Monday. Other days, you can visit between 10am-4pm

3. Strøget : One of the busiest place in the city. You will find lots of shopping complexes and shops there. So many options to eat and shop.

Strøget is a pedestrian, car free shopping area in Copenhagen, Denmark. This popular tourist attraction in the centre of town is one of the longest pedestrian shopping streets in Europe at 1.1 km. Located at the centre of the old city of Copenhagen, it has long been one of the most high-profile streets in the city.

Best Time to visit : Day to Night

4.Rosenborg Castle & King’s Garden : Rosenborg Castle was built by one of the most famous Danish kings, Christian IV, in the 17th century. King’s Garden: This is Just in front of Rosenborg castle. You can sit in the park and enjoy the beautiful view of castle. This place is very crowded during weekends and specially in winters, people come here to soak the sun. You will even not found any vacant chair in the Garden 😀 if it’s a sunny day. So, if you saw some chair in sunlight, just go quickly and sit there 😃😃😃

5.Kastellet & The Little Mermaid:

Kastellet is a citadel located in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is one of the best preserved fortresses in Northern Europe. It is constructed in the form of a pentagon with bastions at its corners.

The Little Mermaid : Little mermaid is just a statue but this place is so beautiful. Don’t come with the huge expectation about the little mermaid but if you love to see the part of beautiful ocean, you really gonna enjoy this place.

The Little Mermaid is a bronze statue by Edvard Eriksen, depicting a mermaid becoming human. The sculpture is displayed on a rock by the waterside at the Langelinie promenade in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is 1.25 metres tall and weighs 175 kilograms.

6.Zoo : We went to zoo but the queue was very very long, I guess it could at-least take 1-2 hours to get the ticket and go inside the zoo. So, I will say, don't go on weekends. I is one of the oldest zoos in Europe and it is the most visited zoo and 4th most visited attraction in Denmark. Visiting Time : On weekends it opens from 10am-5pm and weekdays it is open from 10am-4pm

7.Frederiksberg Have/ Garden : Just next to the zoo there is a beautiful and big garden. Frederiksberg Gardens is one of the largest and most attractive greenspaces in Copenhagen, Denmark. Together with the adjacent Søndermarken it forms a green area of 64 hectares at the western edge of Inner Copenhagen. It is a romantic landscape garden designed in the English style.

Entry Fees : Free

Visiting Time : Everyday 6am-7pm

8.Frederiksberg Palace : inside the park only, you can see this beautiful palace. Frederiksberg Palace is a Baroque residence, located in Frederiksberg, Denmark, adjacent to the Copenhagen Zoo. It commands an impressive view over Frederiksberg Gardens, originally designed as a palace garden in the Baroque style.

Visiting Time : All days 11am-3pm

9.Frederik's Church : This is so so beautiful. Frederik's Church, popularly known as The Marble Church for its rococo architecture, is an Evangelical Lutheran church in Copenhagen, Denmark. The church forms the focal point of the Frederiksstaden district; it is located due west of Amalienborg Palace.

Visiting Time : All days 10am-7pm

10. Amalienborg :

A visit to Amalienborg Museum gives you access the private interiors of the most recent kings and queens along with an exhibit on the monarchy today with its many traditions. It's a behind the scenes trip sure to delight any royal fans.

The scope of the museum stretches back 150 years to Christian IX and Queen Louise, who were known as "the in-laws of Europe" because four of their children ascended to the thrones of England, Greece, Russia, and Denmark.

HOW TO COMMUTE WITHIN THE CITY :

Hop on Hop Off Buses : If you have only one day, I will recommend to take Copenhagen city sightseeing by buses. It will cost you DKK199/person. You can buy ticket using below link:

Metro & Public Buses : In my opinion if you want to cover multiple places in a day then it will be easy, if you buy city pass. By using city pass, you can travel in metro and buses. We bought city pass for small zone. Small zone will cover all the major attractions. You can download DOT app and buy your pass.

Rent a bike : You can rent a bike if you want to enjoy the beautiful weather.

BUDGET FOR 3 DAYS:

Train : 275 DKK/person (if you are travelling from Malmo)

Airbnb : 1600 DKK for 2 days and 2 person

Transport: 200 DKK (including pass for 72 hours/person)

Food : approx. 60-100 DKK/meal

Sightseeing : As per your choice (I have mentioned all above)
