We, three Friends, went on a trip to Goa this year on Feb 24 to 28. Being our first visit to Goa we were not aware much about the local things other than what we read on the internet before visiting the state.
Our Itinerary:
Feb 24: Landed at Goa Airport
So, as we came out of the airport we were surrounded by Taxi Drivers who requested us to book their cab. There are no Ola, Uber Services available in Goa and only private cabs ply on the roads.
The cab drivers charge a hefty amount of money from tourists to drop them to their hotels, it's a kind of monopoly their.
We then booked a cab negotiating from Rs 1700 to Rs 1100.
During our trip, we booked our stay with Airbnb and it was the first experience for us.
The resort we stayed at was Mc Goa Holidays, It had a pool and jacuzzi as well.
At night around 8, we left for Baga Beach, had our dinner there, relaxed near the beach shore and came back to our hotel to call it a day.
Feb 25: Water Activities at Malvan Beach
Next day was one of the best, we went to Malvan Maharashtra to enjoy some cool water activities:
Activities we enjoyed:
Scuba Diving, Banana Boat, Jet Ski, Paragliding and some other activities.
Breakfast and lunch along with the travel transfers were included in this package and it costed us Rs 2500 per person.
We were back at our hotel by 8 and went to Baga Beach(It being the closest to our place) to have dinner.
The Water Activities Package was booked by an agent at Baga Beach itself and from the same guy, we rented a car Hyundai i10 for Rs 1100 per day.
We started our day by having some delicious food at EAT Restaurant in Goa(Google It), here we had some tasty Schezewan Dosas, Sandwiches and Authentic Goan and Gujrati dishes.
In the afternoon we left for Chapora Fort, the view from the fort was amazing and the wind was blowing at a very fast speed. There we had 'Kokam Sharbat' to refresh ourselves and it tasted great.
In the evening we went to Anand Restaurant to try some authentic Goan cuisines, there we had Chicken and Veg Xacuti and Fish.
At night we went to Royal Enfield Garage Cafe, it is a must-visit for every Royal Enfield Lover, the ambience was amazing and this cafe has live music performances at night.
While driving back to the hotel we stopped by a small cafe whose owner was of Spanish Ethnicity, there we had chicken falafel wrap and french fries both of which tasted delicious.
We left for South Goa on the 4th day, the resort we booked here was "Zuari View", the room was very big, neat and clean along with all the basic amenities and the best part was a huge balcony overseeing the sea.
In the afternoon we went to "Mapusa Market" to get some dry fruits and other items for the home. (Mapusa Market has wholesalers of dry fruit).
In the afternoon we went on a boat ride to see dolphins and it was an amazing experience.
At night we went to Deltin Royale Casino and took a package that included drinks, dinner and casino.
Day 5:
Last day was spent relaxing and for some short sightseeing.
In the afternoon we went to see the famous Old Goa Church,
The church still has old Goan vibes to it and it is a very big Church.
Other Beaches we visited were: Calangute, Vagator.
PS: Vagator beach is what I found to be one of the best beaches in Goa.
