From Aguada we drove to Chapora Fort/Beach. The entry to the beach was kind of restricted. So we went to the fort instead. Being a favourite evening haunt for chilling out, the place is a must see. The famous ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ movie was shot here in 2001. If you’re a nature lover and a fanatic for sunsets then this fort is an amazing choice for you. It looks spectacular. I seriously recommend you to visit this place in the evening and enjoy the sights of Arabian sea and Chapora beach river.
Goa has a number of forts and with the film Dil Chahta Hain, these forts have come to limelight. You can take your family out for a visit to these old forts. Forts like Chapora and Tiracol are fun places to visit and are full of interesting stories. You can drive up to Chapora fort and then there is a hike of 10 to 15 minutes to the top and you will be rewarded with amazing views.
Chapora Fort:“Dil Chahta hai….Kabhi na beete yeh chamkile din…” You got everything correctly with this line. Lovely sunset here! You are able to see Vagator beach on one side and Morjim to other side and the view will be easy to show you the difference between waves the way they touch the seashore at both these beaches.
