Feel the breeze against Breathe

The trip to Goa was not pre planned. The last minute back packing and rushing made it more special as there was nothing decided beforehand.  Bored of the hectic and monotonous schedule of office work, me and my boyfriend decided to take a break. So, I searched for buses to Goa and luckily there were a few available. After finishing the office hours, we packed whatever was on our mind and rushed to board the bus. Finally we were travelling to Goa- "The much awaited break we needed "  .

So, early morning the bus dropped us at the Panji bus stop at around 7 a.m.  The weather was pleasant and the previous night experiences a spell of rain. After walking 1 mile, we found some bike rental shops (close to the Paulo travels). We rented Avenger (Blue one) for 3 days at a price of 300 per day. After submitting all the documents (Pan card/ Passport), we were all set to start to explore and tour GOA!

We checked in at a Hotel named Dona Alcina, Candolim( which we booked on the same day while booking our bus). The receptionist was friendly and the staff members took us to the room. The room was good with a balcony, swimming pool view and spacious. We were more than happy with the accommodation. We stepped out to the supermarket named "Newtons" (I guess the biggest in Goa). I was really amazed by the varieties of drinks (imported and local ones) and food condiments. We picked up Rose Wine, Stella Beer, Corona and some chips. Ahh! A sip of beer in the empty stomach, felt so awesome. We ended up in Calangute at around 11 am and the waiters arranged for us the sun beds. Presence of too many Russians gave a different feeling all together like we were in the land of Russia

Swimming across the waves, beach volley ball and water sports like jet skiing, banana rides and many more made an awesome start of the trip. Finally we were back to room and needed some sleep. After a few hours of sleep, we got ready for the night parties.  A drive to Baga through the lighted streets of Candolim and Baga filled up us with some excitement and delirium. We waited for some time for the party to begin as we set a table for ourselves close to the waves for a candle light dinner. Finally we stepped into tito's (the most famous club in Goa) after the entry check. The club started to fill up fast and there was a nice crowd around. Loud and heart pumping music and unlimited drinks (beer and domestic ones) made me feel loose, light and tipsy. I danced to the sounds and beats of every song even though my legs were hurting. It was too much fun and excitement. The party ended at around 2 am and we got back to the hotel.

Next day, we started our trip to a few secluded beaches (Morjim and Arambol) in the extreme North. Relaxed and reclined on the sun beds we, enjoyed some goan delicacies like sea food sizzler, golden fried prawns and bebinca. In the evening , we visited Vagator and Chapora Fort to enjoy the romantic sunset. The night markets are a favorite hotspot for everyone. The colorful and lighted Saturday night markets at Arpora offers a wide collection of different artefacts and goan traditional items. But the price is too high for anything to buy. All you can do is enjoy the street foods like Shawrma and other goan cuisines.

The final and last day was meant for some adventurous activities. We were set for parasailing at Anjuna , Go karting and water skiing. All the water sports activites are combined together into a package which costs around 1700 per person. It was an incredible and astounding experience. I held my nerves while flying high about 100 feet above the sky. At the end of the day, we enjoyed the sunset at Fort Aquada. Finally we packed our bags and started for Panjim.  We reached Panjim and returned the bike. After completing all the formalities at the bike rental shop, we headed to board the bus. The trip was indeed something to cherish was a complete amalgam of romance, adventure, trance and peace. This is one of the most memorable and the best ever trip of my life.

Situated about18 kms from the capital city of Goa, Panji, the beach is a favourite hot-spot for couples and hippes . Miramar Beach is the closest to Panjim. Though a lot of tourist do not visit this, the beach has a different charm to offer.
