But let's bring little more variation in this trend ,so here I am with some special and soothing locations to give it a try than goa and set new trends.
Rishikesh is not only famous due to its religious importance but also for its adventure thrills,yoga and culture .it's yoga plus adventure capital of India . Rishikesh has some really cool riverside cafe like little Buddha cafe , tat cafe, bistro Nirvana and many more like that .
The best place to stay in Rishikesh is zostel Rishikesh, surrounded with mountains fresh green view you and just 2 km from Lakshman jhula. The best part about staying in hostel is you make more friends eventually and even they join to explore the place. Other options like cafe 11:11, camp wildex and manier hotels ,ashrams and resorts are always available according to your convenience.I would advise you to at least one night it at camp wildex, it can give you total feel of what we call as living with nature ,there are are echo special mountains ,rushing river sound, star gazing sky's , bonfire and barbeque at night.
One dinner must be reserved for chotiwala restaurant near Ganga Ghats it's the most famous cultural food restaurant of Rishikesh since years.
Trip to Rishikesh is incomplete without adventures like river rafting , rappelling, flying fox, bungee jumping, giant swing and waterfall tracking.
GOKARNA the second and the silent Goa of India,Oh sorry! Gokarna's experience is special on its own . 13 hours drive from Mumbai or 3 hours ride from Goa,this Paradise of Karnataka has pristine beaches, temples, adventure, and mini treks.
Again you can always opt for camping, hotels and resorts but the best place I would suggest here to stay is zostel Gokarna due to the view and the luxury it gives. I am quite sure your backpacker friends gonna love this place. And another recommendation for stay this tripper Gokarna, it has wooden furnished beach side rooms and enchanting view from the balcony. And chilling beside the beach is all we always love. Best cafes to munch at here are namaste cafe, Mantra ,dragon cafe and Marine uana cafe.
You can spend time at Om beach , lively Gokarna beach, Yana caves ,old architectural temples like Maha ganpati temple and Mahabaleshwara temple. You can surely go offbeat in Gokarna since a large part is still undiscovered here.
Jodhpur Blue City of India with many secrets and stories kept inside is a fabulous destination if activities like heritage walks,desserts and royalty are your interests. Here most of the hotels and cafes are locally themed and view of Jodhpur fort from whole city is so dreamy. Just make sure you book a stay with rooftop fort view hotel.
The best attractions here are umaid bhawan palace ,mehangarh fort ,ghantaghar area ,kalyan and Sambad lake ,Arna jharna,Meenal falls ,pachetia hill , some temples and Blue City walks . You can learn a flying fox here for a bird eye view of city.
Even a day on two are sufficient for Jodhpur.Hence you can extend your plan by adding cool nearby cities like Udaipur; the city of lakes, Jaipur; the pink City and Bikaner.
34 km from Dehradun popularly known as Queen of hills worth visiting. Even a walk on non busy road feels like heaven here cause all you can see here are hills hills and hills .I must say here hills are the limit:)
It's Quite famous and crowdy in summers but winters here too are perfect . You will find numerous hotel and resorts with enchanting mountain view but the best and the trusted ones are club Mahindra stays, hotel seven oaks and bayshore inn . And if you are ready for backpacking stays then hostels are always there for you. Best activities you can do when in Mussoorie is visit major viewpoints like Lal tibba , gun hill point ,cloud's end point or a trek to George Everest house. The most secret and adventurous place here is robbers cave, must go for anyone who loves to unfold the secrets of nature and never forget to spend your time before dinner at mussoorie mall road.

ALLEPPEY OR ALLAPUZZA, commonly known as Venice of the east ,is something you must never miss visiting.
It's a hub of Kerela's backwaters and many thousands house boats (No it's not crowded,it's relaxing).This place has a entirely different charm when the well known event of snake boat race is organised here.
The best thing one can experience here is a unapologetic experience stay in luxury houseboats .
I don't think wrong to say that if you want to explore Kerala totally, experience Alleppey, this place has cool beaches like Alappuzha beach,marari beach, pathiramanal island, famous lighthouse,old traditional temples ,colonial churches and most unique coir musuem .
If you are planning to explore Alleppey which your buddies, I am not advising I am forcing you to stay in houseboats ;) It's the entirety new, unique and breathtaking experience.
