I planned this short 2 days Weekend Gateway trip to Coorg as i did quite a lot of research on places to chill on weekends near Bangalore. And trust me i was so right, Coorg is the perfect place if you are looking for this kinda trip.
And what could be better than couple of friends, a chilled out place, good food and a bonfire at night.
I took a overnight 🚌 bus from Bangalore and reached Coorg early morning at around 6. If you're taking a bus you'll reach Madikeri bus stop and then you'll have to take a 🚕 taxi from there to wherever your going and i took it till Zostel coorg.
Our Zostel host was humble enough to give us a early check in. After checking in we had our breakfast at the coolest cafe ever with the Famous Coorg Coffee. And we left for some sightseeing by renting a Activa from the Royal Brothers (Best).
We visited the Abbey Falls, buyed some coffee for us to take back and ended the day with a bonfire.
Day 2 we began early as it was last day.
The 1st place we visited was the Dubare Elephant Camp where you get to see a lot of elephants and you can even bath them! Trust me its super cool to do that.
Then the 2nd and the last place we visited was the Bylakuppe which is the second largest Tibetan settlement in the world outside Tibet after Dharamshala.
It was such a experience to visit this place watching hundred of monks and specially the children.
After this we ended the day with another bonfire! And headed back to Bangalore.
* If you have never stayed in a hostel do try that. Making new friends and living there is a different experience.
