It is a beginners trek, from Barshaini you can either choose to trek through villages or you can choose to trek through dense forest. If you opt to trek through the villages you can enjoy the coffee & pratha with fall in love view of mountains. You can also choose to stay at Kalga-pulga or Nakthan village if you have more days in hand to trek. Since we were not having extra off days and had to return to office we choose to stay after reaching Kheerganga. The trek becomes difficult in the last quarter and we recommend you not to rush and cover the remaining part. Since the length is over 13km, start hydrating 3-4 days before starting day of the trek. If you are looking forward to enjoy snow and trek in winter, kindly keep extra layers of clothes and medicines as temperature at night drops really low. As per news recently they have restricted any commercial camp stay at kheerganga , you must rent a tent so that you can set it up and enjoy night gazing at Kheerganga. The hot water spring at kheerganga with magnificent view of ice-caped peaks all around will make you fall in love. If you are looking to trek further you can trek Pin Parvati from Kheergana about which I will write in next post.
