If you have only one day in Langkawi then spend the whole day on beaches. There is nothing more relaxing than spending your day on beach. There are some beautiful and amazing beaches where you can take rest and calm your mind.
I was travelling from Delhi (India) so had taken flight at 11:30 pm from Delhi Airport to kuala lumpur and from there we had connecting flight to Langkawi.
Transfer : We reached Langkawi early morning 8:00 am and from airport we booked a prepaid taxi which took us to the hotel. Car was driven by a lady who was wearing jeans top and head was covered with a scarf. Malaysia is a multicultural and multiconfessional country, whose official religion is Islam. We paid 1200 INR for such a short distance, fair may be high as we booked from airport. So be careful about the fair.
Hotel : If your first priority is to sit and relax on beaches then book a hotel which have direct access to the beach. This is what we wanted so we booked Best Star Resort hotel.
Best star Resort: Very good location, direct access to beach, well managed infrastructure, cooperative staff, infinity swimming pool, beach dinner option and most important very budget friendly. This hotel is on the Pantai Cenang beach which is on of the most popular beaches in Langkawi.
After some rest we went to enjoy the pool and beach.
Pantai Cenang Beach : Beach is beautiful with crystal clear water and outdoor activities. You will love to spend time on this beach.
Water Activities: You don't have to go anywhere, you can enjoy the water activities like scuba diving, parasailing and others on the hotel beach area only.
Wait for sunset : As we were done with the water activities, we decided to just sit on the beach and see the beautiful sunset. This is what you should never miss when you are on the beach vacation.
Candle light dinner : Want some romance on beach. Book a candle light dinner on the beach which can be done by hotel staff only and enjoy your time.
There are a lot more which you can do in langkawi but you need 2-3 more days. 4 days are sufficient for Langkawi trip.

Airport ---> Hotel ---> Pantai Cenang Beach ---> Water Activities ---> Enjoy Sunset ---> Candle light dinner
