Travelling has always fascinated me. It gives me a new wave of energy to rejuvenate myself from the daily hectic schedule of my life. Being an employee with a work shift, it leaves me with only weekends to plan out something. Taking time out of busy schedule is tough. But if there is no will, there is no way,  so me and my friends planned a weekend trip to Tarkarli.

Tarkarli is definitely a place which most of the adventure sports lovers will like as these sports are quite easy on pockets here. The place is around 400 kms from Pune and the best mode of transport to reach there is via road.Goa is just 2 hrs drive from Tarkarli. Me and my friends opted to go with travel group (tsea turtle tourism) with 24 other group members. The journey started on Friday night. It was a pleasant journey and we went via Kolhapur. Since it was an overnight journey we couldn't witness much of the scenery outside but towards the dawn we came across the beautiful ghats,  when we were about to reach Tarkarli.

After a journey of 10-12  hours we reached our destination. The travel group had booked a little beach home: Sea Pearl Beach Resort. It was a cozy little well maintained property with all basic amenities at a distance of just 200 meters from the beach. Soon after, we had some home cooked breakfast.

So we had 2 days in hand. Activities to be done in Tarkarli. The group coordinator have arranged water sports on first day & scuba diving for second day, so we decided to proceed with water sports first and next day was kept for scuba as this takes time around 2-3 hours.

We reached to Chivla beach by bus, and kept our belongings at one place and move ahead for Jet Ski, bumper ride, parasailing and banana ride. Compared to other places the water sports were at much lower prices.

This was my first experience of water sports, I was so nervous and excited at that time. When it was my turn for parasailing, things happened very quickly, and before I knew it, I was strapped on the parachute, all the while trying to understand the instructions from the crew. I was a little tensed, and my heart must have skipped a beat or two. I had no sense of how much time it took, but in a very short duration, I was standing at the launch point, ready to lift off. Within seconds, I was lifted off and flying over the waters. There I was, above blue waters of the sea, rapidly gaining height and looking at one of the most beautiful beaches in India from an ever-increasing height each moment. Nervousness disappeared as quickly as it had set in, now transforming into a sense of achievement. The fascinating feeling of flying in the air was one of the best feelings one can experience, and literally, I felt like a bird flying over the sea.

When parasailing was done by every group member, we returned to the beach by boat. The journey in boat was truly relaxing since we were all tired and the cool breeze made us forget everything.

Next day, we got ready and after having breakfast, left for the point of scuba diving. Due to weekend there was crowd for this activity and we had to wait for our turn but it was worth as the experience was simply one of its kind. I was a little nervous before but was confident that it can be done. The first time when I went inside the water, it scared the hell out of me. But gradually as the magic started unfolding and I started observing things around me, my fear vanished. It seems to be an entirely different world under water. I could see a lot of colorful fishes. This was one of the best experiences of my life. Believe me when I say, scuba diving is a must-try experience for everyone out there! I am already browsing the net daily planning for my next vacation where I can again scuba dive.

After this we head back to our resort to get freshen up. We had lunch together and left for pune.
Visiting here made me realize how beautiful the nature can be. The time spent here was really amazing and mesmerizing. Far from the rush and hectic schedule, this place is a must to visit for.
