We hiked with pumping hearts and some small wounds & cuts

The view from the top, made us all hop

...hop with happiness and our soul was in a complete mess

Confused with the sight of the unknown world and the beauty it has unfurled

The lucid blue tarn

The bright overhead sun

The shining craggy peaks

The tall towering teaks

The gorgeous green valleys and the unknown hilly alleys

Shamble all the travelling gears & pack.. To take me back

To the world of mountains & fantasies where I can find my inner peace

When I tried to tame the Trolltunga trance, my soul cried... can’t we take another chance??

Kindly note: The trek is a 28 kms long trek (14 kms up & down)..

The hike starts from Skjeggedal parking in Odda in Norway.. you have to start the trek early in the morning as the duration of the 28 kms long trek is around 10-12 hours.. alternatively you can camp in the mid way or after you reach Trolltunga and that’s a little less hectic as you’re only hiking for 14 kms..

Staying: You can choose to stay at Odda camping (where I stayed) if you’re carrying your own camping gears else you always have the options to stay at any hotel in Odda..

The Skjeggedal parking (from where the Trolltunga trek starts) is approximately 14 kms away from the main Odda town hence, you need to start your trek really early in the morning if you’re covering the whole 28 kms in a single day.

Pls carry plenty of water and foods on your way to Trolltunga and be in proper hiking shoes else you’ll face problems in gripping.. and if possible carry atleast one hiking stick for a proper support.

Optional: a torch, waterproof clothes as weather is unpredictable (though I didn’t carry).

You can’t trek this trail after mid October or so as it gets closed..

Parking fee is 500 NOK for a single vehicle.. and you’ll be allowed to park your vehicle in the parking ground for one full day.
