Today, it was sunday. In the evening, I went to roam around the old city of Udaipur. It's a best place to feel the heartbeats of the city. Here you can see the local art, culture, craft, miniature painting, market and so on. I would suggest you will have a great experience while you will roam in the streets of old city in your feet. So prefer walking instead of riding or driving, as streets here are narrow leading to traffic jam.
Things one must do, while you are here in the evening, include:
1. Have garama garam GULAB JAMUN which melts in your mouth like cadbery shots. Trust me they are very good in taste.
2. Watch cultural show at Baghor ki Haweli for 1 hour from 7:00-8:00 pm. It's a good show if you want to have a glance of dance forms of rajasthan like kathputli show, ghoome, gawari, terah taali, etc.
3. Just adjuscent to is Ghanghor Ghat. Here you can sit on the bank of lake Pichhola while dipping your feet into the water. You can have Bhugtan (indian corn).
4. After crossing the bridge, reaching on the other side, you can sit near Hanuman ghat and feel the positive vibes while listening to the sound of bell, conch and evening aarti coming from the opposite side.
5. Just walk a bit, and you will find a restaurant named "millets of mewar". If you wanna taste local cuisine, it's authentic place for that (though it's bit costly). Try it's millet tikki, it's tasty and nutritious. Not only food but you can get alcoholic drinks here.
6. Just 500 meter ahead, you can have a roof top dinner in UPRE with a view of lake and city palace (kindly book your seat in advance).
7. Nearby, there is another ghat called AMBARAI ghat, where you will find some local student singer who will be singing some songs on guitar. Go and join them.
After having all this, come back to your room and sleep tight.
